The Mario Kart series is a fun series and this is especially true with Mario Kart: Double Dash for the Nintendo GameCube. One thing that separate Mario Kart: Double Dash from the Mario Kart games is that two Nintendo characters can be one Kart with the first one you pick is the driver. The game begin with 16 characters in the game that range from Mario to Bowser. The game modes are the Grand Prix races, Time Trial, Battle mode, Versus, and LAN mode. The Grand Prix mode starts with four cup races with 3 difficulty settings: 50 cc (Easy), 100 cc (Normal), and 150 cc (Hard). Characters, karts, and Prix races are unlocked from the first four Prix cups in the 3 difficulty settings.
The graphics and level design for Mario Kart: Double Dash are very good and they have aged very well since it was released. The controls are very good plus it is very fluid and smooth from an overall standpoint. The soundtrack for Mario Kart: Double Dash is possibly the best part of the game and it fits the game. This is one of best Mario Kart games in the series and this is my favorite Mario Kart game.
