6.4 No way. This game merits a 9.5. It is highly addictive and has been played religiously by millions for years.

Gamespot really dropped the ball here. The review said that people would be tired of it after a week. That's about as wrong as wrong can be. Smash Brothers, Goldeneye, and Mario Kart 64 are the three best multiplayer games on the N64; which is arguably the best multiplayer game system ever.

There's nothing better than battling it out with a few friends in the classic block fort. The battle mode in this version is far superior to the snes version because of the four player option and the 3rd dimension. Pouncing on your prey from above is key.

The racing is also a blast and every cup has it's own charm and is filled with classic tracks from first to last. The shortcuts are all well placed and difficult enough to give you a feeling of accomplishment when you pull them off(there's nothing more satisfying than jumping half the course on Rainbow road).
