Maddens still got it!
Gameplay/8 of 10- The reason I didn't give it a 9 or a 10 is because it's too much like the other maddens, it has the career mode, only difference is the camera which can't be changer which can sometimes be irritating if you play on defense but it's still pretty good. I actually like the Franchise mode but it's still really no different than the others. The Skill Drills I think are stupid and they don't really help you play at all if your new, like it's not like a tutorial it literally puts you to the test. It has the new Fantasy Challenge which I think is really cool but the only thing I dont like about it is that it doesn't go into detail about a players stat or age. The Ring of a Champion is pointless but it gives you something to do if your bored. What addition I really like is the Player Weapons, it helps you a lot in Franchise modes because it makes it a lot easier to strategize, it has like an icon by the persons picture like if they are a Franchise Player(Star), Precision Passer(Crosshairs), or a Cannon Arm(Bullet).
Graphics/9 of 10- Good graphics, you get to play in weather like the other games and the players look failry real but I didn't ever notice grass or dirt stains.
Sound/7 of 10- The soundtrack really could have been a lot better and the commentary is very vague as it speaks the very obvious like, "Oh an interception" or, "Oh a touchdown." Also there is no commentary in career mode which I somewhat think is dumb. I've never noticed any grunts but player talking when in a huddle but it does have crowd noises and the tackles sound like they should.
Value/7 of 10- I think it is a great buy if you want the new sequel but it's really like the prequels. I have Madden 08 and 06 and I do actually play 06 sometimes because 06 is actually somewhat better but I still like 08.
Overall- It is still a great game but Madden REALLY needs to be more creative and also needs to make the stats a little more realistic and it needs to stop being so repetitive. But I still like it and is still my favorite football game yet. But until Madden gets it's crap together 09 or even farther in the future can be really great games.
