Hydrophobia Prophecy is a great game. If you can accept before playing that the game takes place in a breached ship and there will be a lot of water and disorienting waves, the action will be fun and you'll find yourself holding your breath in tight spots.

The climbing and acrobatics is easy to learn and yet still can be intense when you need to balance above a fiery pit. Sometimes what you need to climb on is not very obvious, and finding where to go can be harder than actually getting there.

Combat is where the game does not shine, but it is not difficult to master and for a casual gamer such as my girlfriend, is simple enough that they can have a good time with it.

Voice acting has its moments where it is great, and where it is not so great, but for the most part it isn't bad.


Normal mode will have you breezing through the game in relative easiness, so if you are looking for a challenge you'll need to pick hard mode.

All in all, for ten USD, this game is well worth its price. If you haven't played the first Hydrophobia, play this, please!
