No masterpiece, but a big improvement over its predecessor.

User Rating: 5.5 | Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 PC
Having played Part I, I had low expectations going in, but was pleasantly surprised. Gone are the stupid stealth missions and mandatory challenges that have nothing to do with the story, and the battles now place emphasis on taking cover and tactical thinking, as opposed to the mindless click-fests they were in the last game. Many, if not most of them are pretty repetitive, but some are pleasantly challenging. The action has become more varied with the addition of running challenges, quick-time events, and more boss battles (you get to fight every major villain from the movie). The final stage of the battle with Voldemort (the beam struggle) was actually one of the most difficult and immersive boss fights I've had in a while. There are even slow-motion deaths. If it weren't for the crappy graphics, phoned-in cutscenes, and horrible voice acting, I might actually call the game good.
