The story is simple.Kratos-a mortal who had sold his soul to Ares The God Of War,is hunted by his own personality and the nightmares of his deeds keep coming back to him.So he decides to ask the Gods to get rid of his past sins,to which the Gods agree to,but only in return of a small favor : Kratos must stop Ares from destroying Athens.
As your journey starts in the Aegean Sea,and you make your way towards Athens,you encounter numerous dead warriors of Ares,Hydras,and other monsters.In Athens,you find that the only way to defeat a God is by harnessing the power of Pandora's Box,hidden deep within The Pandora temple.
Most of the game takes place within The temple of Pandora,after conquering which,you fight a final battle against Ares on his terms,with magics,swords,blades the the blessings of the Gods by your side.
In the game you encounter enemies of all shapes and sizes,and types.Gorgons,Centaurs,Hydra are only a few to name.
The combat is the plus point of the game,but however the puzzles are extremely exiting and often difficult beyond your expectations especially the numerous ones in Pandora temple.
The visuals are gorgeous considering the year of its release and the voice acting is great too.
The game-play,together with the combos and puzzles & the immersing storyline gives you plenty of replay value.
All in all this is a very enjoyable game,one you can enjoy if you're above the specified age-bar on the box.
