With great promises comes great responsibility. They did not deliver. Read the combat system review from an RPG fanatic.
I'm a big fan of combat and RPG elements, so it should come to no surprise that my review is primarily targetting those aspects of KoAR. I can endure the long walks, dull quests, map repetition, lack of creature variety,... Read Full Review

This could have been a great game, but the poor story and the huge amount of generic quests hold it back.
As a lof of ppl have said the combat is lots of fun and can make you keep playing this game for lots of hours and the main story is not so bad. The problem comes if you start doing side quests and help the people here a... Read Full Review

First hours were fun, but the drag started after then.
I was really looking forward to Kingdoms of Amalur because of the tight gameplay that was promised. Although generally, I prefer story-driven games. As it came to be, in my opinion, KoA:R tried both, and in the beginning... Read Full Review

Glad I read IGN review first. I love this game.
This is turning out to be one of my favorite games ever. To me it is like a mash of Torchlight, Ninja Gaiden, Fable and Elder Scrolls. I love all the little touches like being able to reset and realign my stats (for a ... Read Full Review

Lots of fun hacking & slashing, but no real substance.
In the interview the dev team always pointed out that the game has good combat, but is still an rpg. Well, Its not. But lets start at the beginning: You can create you character, you get thrown right into the pretty g... Read Full Review

Very well done 3rd person RPG. Ranks up there with the Elder Scrolls.
Just to state right off the the bat, its a must buy. I got the game the day after the release and already I'm addicted. The game is just superb. KoA looks similar to Fable, but unique to its own. It has a pretty big map.... Read Full Review

Its like a not-so-good Fable...
Repetitive combat, Boring quests , uninspired story-telling, and an uninteractive world make this rpg more of an action game than anything else. Its like a not-so-good Fable. The idea of the combat system is nice but exe... Read Full Review

If you like Skyrim or Fable then you'll like Reckoning!
(Please excuse the disorganization of my review. Just wrote this off the top of my head) Well if you played skyrim or fable it's almost the same type of game, but with more fast pacing action. It's like it's on ADD ... Read Full Review
