Technically no Skyrim, but lots of fun
I don't often write reviews for games, but in this instance I felt compelled by the uninformed and unfair reviews left by others both professional and amateurs. But before I begin I just want to make sure everyone reali... Read Full Review

Very addictive game once you open up and let it take you.
This game is like a great book with a terrible cover and first chapter, if you actually open it and get past to chapter 2 it can suck you in. I played the demo and wasn't thrilled, but heard so many like me actually got ... Read Full Review

Typical hand-holding modern game, no brainpower required.
I dunno, I can't get into all these new games where they tell you exactly what to do and there is zero risk in anything involved. Games should be about problem-solving. You're confronted with a challenge and you figur... Read Full Review

The look and feel of a great action game, with the mechanics and depth of a really good RPG.
This game deserves more than the 7.5 gamespot gave it. When you start playing it you think meh okay here we go, another cookie cutter action game rushed out the door with a splash of RPG elements here and there....That... Read Full Review

Missing something...
Easy to learn with fun combat. Characters and quests are lacking substance - I can't really explain. Characters in Dragon Age and Mass Effect were memorable, and the quests/missions were tied into the story and the wor... Read Full Review

Game is a single player MMO with Fable-ish graphics.
Pretty fun game.. Story lacks any kind of focus and the lack of your character speaking or the npc's around having facial expressions you never really get attached to the story. Combat is a big improvement in the genre a... Read Full Review

This game beautifully combines the lore & freedom of choice of an RPG with dynamic gameplay. Deserves better scores
first off: BUY THIS GAME. [note: I will be comparing some things to Skyrim since thats all anyone really talks about right now. and has is/recently played). Just after Skyrim comes another RPG. How could any other o... Read Full Review

It's not the best RPG ever, but it opened a gate for what "Western Action RPG" can be
Some people said Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (KoAR) is just like a "Dungeon Siege" or "Elder Scroll" game. But in my opinion, KoAR is more like "Sangokumusou" or "Dynasty Warriors" , a Japanese action game, with role ... Read Full Review

Not quite what I was hoping for.
"The first true contender for the Elder Scrolls throne." That was the quote that first made my ears perk up about this game. I now can't remember where it came from, but it almost instantly had my attention. I played ... Read Full Review
