It's not the best RPG ever, but it opened a gate for what "Western Action RPG" can be
The 'Action part' in this KoAR is the most innovative part , you can connect your strikes to enemies with every kind of weapon you carried. And you can unlock more actions by the talent trees. It makes KoAR a unique game of western RPG games, till now. That's why I said it's more like Sangokumusou.
The 'Content' of the game is huge, the map is quite big. And there are many NPCs , with hundreds of quests/tasks to do. If you're a search/quest oriented player. KoAR won't let you down. The bad point is the way to present the content, that makes it just like a single player MMO.
The 'Graphic' of the game isn't that bad, but isn't very good either. It's neither a huge hardware-eater, so you can still play KoAR with low-level computer with fun.
The 'Sound' of the game is mediocre, sometimes you don't feel the music when you play through the game.
The 'Character Development' part is unique, you can merge three kind of talents tree with fate bonus. But most people I know, included me choose mage talent to perform massive damage. So I think there should be a patch to modify the talent tree, especially the thief part. And the game is quite easy, even you choose hardest thief talent. Maybe there should be a new "nightmare" mode for players to challenge.
Unlike the sandbox games, it has limited route and jump part. But it also reduces the possibility to let player stuck. And you can reset nearly everything in the game(the fate and the talent even the gems you socked in your equipments) via paid except race and gender.
In conclusion , KoAR a unique and fun game with huge content but bad present. It also can provide 30-60 hours decent fun time for players who like the gameplay of the game. It's not the best RPG ever, even can't be the game of 2012. But I give it 8.5 score because I'm the one who enjoy the game now.
