Yes, they're songs we've played before. But not quite...
Guitar Hero: Smash Hits is a GH expansion. Period. Containing all the features and gameplay of Guitar Hero: World Tour, it still feels more like an expansion than Aerosmith or Metallica, since any Guitar Hero fan has p... Read Full Review

A fun game of "Guitar Hero," even though it's wholly unnecessary.
2009 is a year that I often look back on fondly. For my 11-year-old self, I made a lot of great memories that year, and as a wide-eyed young preteen excited for almost anything you threw at him, games and movies were alw... Read Full Review

60 bucks for 40 songs, what a rip.
(This is the Review of the game from the guitar because I don't really play the other instruments). Ughh, Where do I start, I know people are probably thinking "what did you expect these songs have already been out on... Read Full Review

A compilation of songs from past Guitar Hero games. What could be better?
It's time for the Guitar Hero Smash Hits review! For the Wii. Guitar Hero games have had many notable songs, and anyone who has played Guitar Hero 3 knows that is true. So Activision decided to put all of these songs ... Read Full Review

This installment of the Guitar Hero franchise was on my wishlist for a very long time. A bit disappointing..
So, I finally got the game. Unwrapped it from it's plastic packaging, and gave it a go on my XBOX 360. First up: An error. Yes, that's right. I instantly got the message "Disc unreadable", so that was very promising. ... Read Full Review

Activision has already made better games...
Ever since I first played a game from the Guitar Hero series, I always had a couple of favorite songs, so I thought at first that it would be great to see them altogether in a game for the new consoles. And the first imp... Read Full Review

Relive the past! And now you can rock out, full bore with the old songs.
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised to see a "greatest hits" version of Guitar Hero at this point, but I was surprised to see the game come out hot on the heels of the very popular Metallica entry into the franchise. I gu... Read Full Review

Not the best music game, but a worthy game with a reduced price.
This is a hard game to describe. It is a great gme for many reasons. It takes song of the best songs from Guitar Hero I-Aerosmith and compilates them all into a "Best of" sorta game. It takes all the songs formerly only ... Read Full Review

Take everything you loved from Guitar Hero-Guitar Hero III and watch it get ruined before your eyes.
Simply put, this game is broken. Had they done this properly, they would have simply copied the guitar parts directly over from the original games and the bass parts if they were available and used the same recordings. H... Read Full Review

I liked it, But DAMN, im supposed to have fingers left over after playing a set arent I?
This game is a good installment, but , let's face it, all it is is a repetition of world tour all over again. New songs yes, but hardly no new instruments or clothes for customization. I wonder when playing this game if ... Read Full Review
