Activision has already made better games...

Ever since I first played a game from the Guitar Hero series, I always had a couple of favorite songs, so I thought at first that it would be great to see them altogether in a game for the new consoles. And the first impression really doesn't disappoint you. Although there haven't been to many changes in the gameplay, the characters and the animations have been pretty much remade and you have hundreds of customization possibilities. Which is great, a guilty pleasure of mine is spending a couple of minutes customizing my characters with new looks, clothes and instruments and stuff. Unfortunately enough, that's about of what's new. As for the rest, if you have already played the previous games from the series or even something from the Rock Band series, you'll see nothing new. You can play as guitarrist, bassist, vocals or drummer through a long career mode with several tiers, each of them with five songs and an encore song.

You may think that you'll have a long way to run if you want to finish the career mode with each instrument, but the thing is that the Replay factor is quite small and you'll be able to do that in no time.

The songs are pretty good to play in the guitar, as expected. The Drums, however, seemed to have a terrible pattern to follow and most of the songs are repetitive to sing, which turns the gameplay experience quite poor.

Overall... Well, nothing new with this game. Really. It may be something with my musical taste, but here's my advice: if you're looking for a music game with more charisma, pick Guitar Hero: Metallica.
