Which game has better graphics, CoD4 or Halo 3?

I love CoD4 a whole lot more than Halo 3, but I think Halo 3's graphics are better. I think you guys who are saying CoD4 has better graphics are kind of just leaning towards it because of the postprocessing stuff like DOF, which isn't really reflective of graphical quality. That should be determined by things like how high resolution the textures are, how good the lighting is, and how high polygon the models are, all areas that Halo 3 excels in. In fact, some of the textures in CoD4 are really bad, like the Uzi.

Uh.. do you even know what Bloom is? But you're right, Halo 3 doesn't use Bloom; it uses HDR.

But anyway, it doesn't even matter. They're both on par with each other, they both look great, so who gives a **** Really.

They both have diff graphic styles so you cant compare them. flowernuts

For the dude I just quoted....if you compare the graphics to other games that use a similar graphic style to Halo....Halo's graphics are NOTHING impressive.

I love Halo 3....but it isnt eye candy at all. The only map that caught my eye was Snowbound, in full High Definition. Seeing your dead body on the crisp, glistening snow looked very very good.

Not to mention, COD4 is a much better game. Halo is for modernized Star Trek geeks..haha

I would say COD4. run at mostly consistent at 60 fps, and looks great in most levels. And these HDR lighting makes the game very photorealistic looking.

Halo 3 for me is good, but some levels are not so good IMO. Especially for the day light, outdoors & forest. But if you play the level that had to find cortana and killing flood creature, it have breathtaking visuals.

Call of Duty 4 by far. Halo's graphics are decent, but unrealistic.

COD 4 wins Realistic Graphics

I much prefer more realistic looking games so i chose COD 4 but both are decent games

Call of Duty 4 is supposed to look realistic. Halo 3 has it's own graphical intents. It's not trying to look realistic. Therefore, Call of Duty 4 has better graphics (if by better you mean more true to life or photo-realistic.)

Halo 3 was in my opinion over hyped. I did enjoy playing it for the time I had it, but the game play just didnt have as much to offer as COD 4. I've only owned COD 4 for a few weeks now, and I seriously feel bad that I did not buy it when it first came out in November.

Graphics for COD 4 are much better than Halo 3. I also like the way multiplayer is set up much better. I would rather choose my own game type. Rather than be thrown into one randomly.

The only things from Halo 3 that I really wish COD 4 had was the co-op option. And the ability to make videos of gameplay. Other than that I believe COD 4 is better than Halo 3 in all areas.

Is it really? I havent had a chance to play it due to my crappy PC. But the graphics look great. Is it true you can saw down trees with guns in that game?

Your friend is obviously a mindless Halo fanboy. COD4's graphics runs laps around Halo. I was amazed in the beginning of the game when you are being carried to your execution and the old guy stares in your face... OMG, that was the most realistic character model I had ever seen. You could see the little hairs on his head, all the wrinkles and imperfections in his face, as well as the sweat dripping down.stevenk4k5

You should see Mass Effect facial models, they are much better than COD4
