Well now when I recover my gamertag it says make sure hardrive storage device is there and that I have a active network connection wtf?The-King-of-FPS

Thats been hapening to me.

We had some progress it downloaded half the profile before we got the Xbox Live is currently unavailable message

is that where you go to the dashboard and there is a 360 in the middle with the dots around it and it looks like its loading? if it is that is happening to me to, but dont worry, just put in a game and you can play it fine, you may be able to play mutliplayer as well (worked for CoD 4 for me) but other than that your just gonna have to wait

well mine doesnt seem to work in the afternoon but at times like now and a bit earlieer it works finedeathshand707

Its been 3 days and Live still does not work. I bougth Rock Band last night. Put it in and played it w/o downloading the new update. I thought updates were available. NOthing is available on LIVE. This is crazy. Any offical word from LIVE anywhere?

I managed to get my profile this way, i tried at about 1am UK time and it slowly downloaded my profile back on to my console, took about 15mins..... glad i got my profile back butsadly i have lost every single game save :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( gutted

yea it gets about half way through recovering my gamertag when it says signup is unavailable

it was working too, as the friends i had online popped up at the bottom of the screen, and then bam signup is unavailable

i dont really care about xbox live a ton even though i would be playing halo online

i care more about just not letting me get my gamertag back, i recovered it at a friends house, and now my 360 is basically useless, cant play geometry wars, cant get any save files, if i want to play any games i have to start them over again

Still will not sign me into Live in the dashboard, but instead shows that ****ing ANNOYING loading symbol.

This is bull****!!! Microsoft needs to get off their ****ing sorry ***es and fix this.

X-Box live is clearly messing up for everyone. Why hasn't this issue been addressed yet? I, like everyone else, pay for this service and we expect quality. Normally if there is maintenance that needs to be done, x-box live notifies us. It's like they don't play on x-box live. How could you not notice issues across the board? Every single game is having issues with live services. Even the x-box live website is having issues. I wonder if Microsoft will even reimburse us for time lost. Microsoft hasn't even gone on record addressing this issue. This is very unprofessional of Microsoft.

Status: Up and running.

I haven't had the chance to try it yet, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

agai i got to play about 5 -7 games enough to rank up twice in the morning and right now it just stopped working. I bet its because when all the little kids that havent gone through puberty got xboxs they just have to play them then when late at night there all asleep us big boys can shoot faces in all the games we havedeathshand707

That's what happened to me, and for some reason I couldn't connect to Xbox Live afterwards (even on the Dashboard). Maybe it's up again though (perhaps just a reset on MS' part).

ok its starting to pi** me off.......it wont let me connect so then i test connection and it says that everything is good and i can connect to xboxlive so then i try and reconnect again and i do but then once i start to play a game it disconnects me again....anyone else have this problem or sumthn similar? is it just some technical problems with xbl today or what?!Z-Bombz

wow this really does suck. I havent had XBL in eight months and I finally get Internet today and its down. It says that Im conected to live but I cant recover my gamer tag. How G**. Hope its fixed soon.

Anyways, Happy New Year to all you guys and gals.

We managed to get Carcassonne going finally in multiplayer, but man there aren't many people around. I guess only a few people at a time can connect and then another wave can and we can't. This is a seriously annoying problem that they really need to get fixed soon. Happy New Years anyways, gamers :)
