this is ridiculous... why will flipping MS and xbox live just admit when they are jacked up... why am i getting message to the effect of, check your connection, and invalid membership, cannot cannot connect etc. MS just admit it "servers are messed up, be back soon"

Is your xbox not signing you into xbox live? Ive just started having problem with mine and started a new topic. Basically it signs into my gamertag but not live, just comes up with the dashboard and the connect to xbox live button. is this what is happening to yours

To be completely honest.. this is the first time anything like this has happened in 4+ years ive been with xbox live.

Whenever i try to recover my gamertag, it comes up with that orange screen and then it goesstrait back to the dashboard. Earlier it said joining xbox live was currently unavailable. I have to say though, during my 1 month of having xbox live, this is only my second problem. Real reliable.
What the heck is wrong with MS!!!!! Live has been acting up for a good 5 days now and they still dont have the problem fixed. People including myself are just pissed as can be. Because of this problem I can see a lot of people jumping ship to the PS3. I'm so mad at MS right now. Xbox Live has been sucking so bad lately!

Why wasn't MS prepared and ready for the busy holiday rush? Did they not know that tons of current and new users would be online for the holidays? They need to stop being cheap butts and spend more money expanding the xbox live servers!
For the people that say be patient, I say this. Not all of us can play eveyday of every week like you guys can. Some of us have to actually work and all that good stuff. Anyway my point is that I only get to play a handful of times a month so I would most def like to play on my couple days off during the year. This is very worrying for a huge, huge, huge, company like microsoft. I expected more from a "Premium" service...
This is day 4 for us and I have work on Thursday. I can understand 24-48 hrs of downtime to fix problems, but 4 days, 5 days and even a week for some people is just ridiculous. As for the excuse of all the new gamers jumping on-line for Christmas and the Holiday break, shouldn't Microsoft have forseen this and made plans to accomadate more players?
daam im having a problem..... when i try to connect into Xbox Live, it does connect but it takes a real long time.. and when i want to enter the marketplace or anywhere else on the xbox dashboard, it still load real slow and i get impatient.. sometimes when i connect into xbox live, it connects but then it disconnects and itbe unexpectingly doing it... wut seems to be the problem?

last night before I went to be xbox.com support frontpage claimed it was all fixed. now its back to sh*t.
Well even tho this has been happening for the past days YOU CAN STILL PLAY.
the dashboard doesnt load, or it wont sign you in. I get both. UNTIL I PUT A GAME IN.
Then magically your signed into live. just go to multiplayer. you may or may not get a server listing, but if you have friends online and they are joinable just keep trying. I did this yesterday and the day before and it worked fine.
I havent tried today but the issue is still the same so I dont see why it wouldnt still work.
yea maybe da main reason y there be a bunch of people betraying their teammates on xbox live and cheating is cuz of lil kids playing on there.. but my lil brother never fools around when he plays xbox live on my 360 though.. he aint like da rest of em. lol
XBOX Live is pure S**T, I say "ok I cant play Halo 3, the Ill play forza motor sport 2, but it keeps telling me I ned a freakin update and I cant playwith out it... I have never had this kind of problems on ohter online services
