extracting is better than the wand but on the links there is pre cut images so you dont have to do anything to them at all.

There are unions here on gamespot like liquid designs, which have a tutorial archive with pictures. I found them easy when i was still making crap on photoshop. Photoshop is a great tool when u know how to utilize all the features.

i might be wrong on that, but i think it's impossible if you haven't study design to be able to use all Photoshop's tools, and capabilities.they're endless, personally i use what i need and i'm satisfied with the things i make without being egoist.i wouldn't say no of course to a new skill.

this one is for Renders they are direct from the videogame....but they are really good, and are a lot of videogame sin here.....the bad thing is that they are not already cut

Ill go on PS later and see

here is how to resize on PS....

go to Image -------> Image size...here on the upper part you have the size of you current image...(pizels and percent) just put the size you want in there.....NOTE: make sure that on the botton of that window "something :? proportional" is not check or the image will change in WxHeight even thus you just change one of them...

yeap..but make it smaller sometimes help..:D...and if you just make it few pixels bigger (around10x) it will not change much) ...beside that...complete agree with you...don`t just change the size...:D

could you help with "changing size"? i'm not sure what you mean- i went to image size and changed the pixel size (and constrained the proportions)....are there other ways to make it clearer? (also went to save for web, and fiddled with quality- as much as it would for 50K)..... :?:P   oh- tried the sharpen tool thinking it would help, but it tends to make things grainy....is that what usually happens?  geeez i'll shut up now!

to extract some thing, when the BG is all one colour it means the picture stands out. say if you have a red pic with a colourful BG than the pic you extract will keep some the BG in little tiny bits around it. If the pic has a black outline on a wite BG the PC knows wat to cut out and it comes out much better.

If you have something small at a high resolution (2000+ DPI), you should be able to make it bigger.  I've found that if you do it in steps (5-10% each time) that it retains more quality.  The file sizes get huge though.  We resized some slides a couple years ago from 1" x 1" to 24"x36" at near photo quality.  The file sizes were near 300mgs apeice.
