Having played halo 1,2, and 3 all in a row for the first time, I can honestly say without nostalgia glasses that CE is a piece of dog turd. For its time, it is amazing, nowadays The Conduit is better than it. Having played all 5 in the past year for the first time. Reach 3 (these two are interchangeable depending on my mood) ODST (these two are interchangeable depending on my mood) 2 (wouldn't have bugged me if they hadn't ended it on a freaking Arbiter level, which I actually liked) 1
I agree. Halo 2 was terrible, I never finished it. Halo: CE was amazing but not all the way through, while Halo 3 was incredible with just one level that I hated and one that I wasn't in love with. ODST and Reach both were top notch all the way through for me.
3 and 4 could be switched, imo, but that's how I'd rank them. Halo 2 had a LOT of really cool ideas, but the execution was awful. I guess that's what happens when you build a campaign in 8 months, though. The freakin' E3 demo was better.

I don't see how it could, honestly. It was scripted to hell and back, and what would happened if a player decided to get off the warthog during the entire trip and walked it? I don't know, the whole mission worked awesomely for a scripted taste of Halo 2. But for the actual level, I think they did a fine job with what appeared in Halo 2 to replace that demo level.

Why so much hate for Halo 2? As someone who hasn't played CE or 2, I think 2 looks better :P Halo CE was probably amazing in its time, but since then - even thanks to Halo itself - the genre has expanded and improved so much.

FPS has improved so much? :lol: Almost every shooter these days is a generic and mediocre. Most of them sequels. The genre is in serious need of of some innovation.
