What should you buy this holiday? (Assuming you don't own a Wii U yet!)
1. Is money important to you?
299.99 vs. 399.99
Then the Wii U is 100 USD cheaper.
2. Are games important to you?
vs.
(PSN Indie Games: Contrast, Resogun, War Thunder, Tiny Brains, Switch Galaxy Ultra, The Playroom (free pack-in), Putty Squad)
Then the Wii U has more to offer, plus it has full backwards compatibility with the Wii.
Are non-gaming elements important to you?
There is a lot to digest here but both systems have access to ditital streaming services, but the PS4 has Blu-ray and DVD playback functionality. Both systems have social offerings with respect to friends, but the Wii U remote has additional functionality such as a built-in mic and camera. The Wii U has access to TVii which has the controller act as a second screen, program guide, and remote. The Wii U has "Miiverse" which lets you share experiences, discuss games, or draw silly pictures (Ahem, LegendofNerd), to folks around the world. The PS4 has a sharing ability as well and also features Twitter, Facebook, and U-stream integration although it's scope is limited to your friends. The Wii U does not offer integration with Facebook, or Twitter.
The PS4 has Blu-ray and DVD playback and a different approach to connectivity with friends (a more in-depth game sharing ability and addtional functionality with Facebook, Twitter and u-Stream) but the Wii U's controller allows for addtional chatting functionality, and TV functionality. I levy the PS4 is the better pick by a small margin if non-gaming elements is more important.

PS4 and for the games .
Nintendo brings nothing new to the table game wise but the same old stuff that we have seen so many times before, lack of thirth party titles again and maybe this time even worse because of the already lacklustre sales .
If you are a die hard Ninty fan I'm sure you will have fun with the Wii-U but that faction is getting smaller every day .
For me it's the Xbox One. The Wii U games line up doesn't appeal to me. Imo Nintendo needs some different newer ips. Mario and Zelda aren't interesting to me now. And I don't make expensive short term investments. That's all it would be, i'm sure Xbox One and PS4 are going to pick up steam far quicker than the Wii U. And despite these games, I don't see the Wii U picking up more steam.
After the Wii, I said Nintendo was going to have to prove themselves with the Wii U first and i'll wait until the end of the first year to see what it looks like. I never thought it would be this unimpressive.
If you want a lot of games get the superior PS3 lol. And yes it cost less than Wii U and games have better graphics. TLoU, GTAV, GT6, Beyond, wow they r4p3 all weee u games lol
Upgrade to PS4 instead. Shadow Fall 1080/60 and gfx that would melt the little U.
PS4 day 1 vs WiiU over a year, WiiU wins in price and games. However it's blatantly obvious that WiiU support is going to disappear once PS3/360 games stop being made. People buying a PS4 aren't buying it for a handful of games. They are buying it for 5,6,7,8 years of incredible games, tons of first party and just about ALL the third party. People buying WiiU are buying it for the same handful of Nintendo exclusives that made N64, GC, Wii worth buying. It's not even a comparison. PS4, Xbone and PC are primary gaming systems. Nintendo consoles (for 4 gens running) are secondary, supplementary consoles.locopatho
Well said.

Are you talking about LCU? The one for the 3DS is a prequel. Zelda is indeed a remake. The real question is PS3/XBOX360 or WiiU......??And the only answer to this is PS3/XBOX360.......better,cheaper,HDD,better online and more many...many awesome games, and big third-party support (GTA V, The Elder Scrolls V,BioShock Infinite and more....).
WiiU it is not worth the money for what it is.......a weaker PS3/XBOX360 after 7 years with no HDD,no BRay,horrible online....and with no third-party support.
Still currently better than the PS4\X1 launch line up :lol:The real question is PS3/XBOX360 or WiiU......??And the only answer to this is PS3/XBOX360.......better,cheaper,HDD,better online and more many...many awesome games, and big third-party support (GTA V, The Elder Scrolls V,BioShock Infinite and more....).

[QUOTE="Lionheart08"]Good time to jump in though. Price drop and all. There's only about three games released on the Wii-U that I want to play right away. Playing the waiting game for both consoles.
Stevo_the_gamer
I agree. I originally planned to get the Wii-U Bundle but then I reality took over and I paid my rent instead. :P
Honestly thinking of getting one for Christmas though. Want to play Wind Waker, Super Smash, and Bayonetta 2. Starting next year, Nintendo should finally be starting to announce their big guns too.
By offering less games, or because of the additional multimedia functions?PS4, better consumer value.

Which multiplats out of curiosity?First of all, I will take one PS4 game over 50 Wii U games.

Second of all, You forgot to add the multiplat games that is coming out for the PS4 and not for the Wii U.
By offering less games, or because of the additional multimedia functions?I'll answer that. I totatly want a PS4 because it offers multimedia functions. I do a lot of media streaming on my PS3 and I expect to do the same on my PS4. Sure, I could use a PC for that too (maybe a steam machine in the future). But I like having the gaming fucntion and first party titles you wouldn't get normally on PC. The Wii U has some unique games, but I lost serious interest in nintendo's "press A to continue for the 1000th time" GUI game design. Most consol launches are slow out of the gate, and saying there are less games now seems like a premature argument.[QUOTE="shellcase86"]

Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus were actually pretty decent; some of the balance mini-games were actually very fun. Sing Party was reviewed well here. As always, "relativity of taste." I always wonder how people can enjoy crap like Demon's Souls or the hundreds of JRPGs.Lol for listing Sing party and Wiiu fit, how can you even like that crap:?

Wow, one PS4 game over 50 Wii U games. No Sony bias there at all.
Between the 3 new consoles, there's only 2 retail games i'd get (both on Wii U). Hopefully things pick up REALLY soon, but i'm finally getting a Wii U after thanksgiving. I always wait at least a year before buying a new console, for good reasons.
