MS are using Skype technologies to allow much higher quality in-game chat and party chat.

Ability to skype call anyone even in-game.

New Kinect microphone technology meaning a headset isn't required if you don't want to use one.

New matchmaking technology.

Party Chat getting increased to 32 people.

The one thing about it that really bothers me though is that I am paying to have a billboard plastered across my television.  If I am paying a premium price to be online it should be ad free.

It's complete BS to have to pay in order to play mulitplayer.

After owning both Xbox live and PSN+, I have to say Xbox is far inferior. Even if half of his claims were valid and not blindly biased. It still wouldnt equal PSN+'es features. discounts, and free games. This is coming from a hardcore PC gamer.

BTW PC has an arcade too, it has over 1,000,000,000 titles.... Its called the flash, html 5, and java.

I don't know the reason MS has Netflix behind a pay wall on XBL. IF they remove it the #1 system would be the 360 instead of the PS3 for watching netflix. Still I don't see Sony is going to get HBOgo on PSN since Time Warner wants a lot of money to have it on the platform. Time Warner doesn't like Sony because they are competitors. 

It's all speculation until release. Right now Xbox live makes me rage moreso than make me happy. They put everything into the 'gold members only' category to make gold members feel like they're getting a lot of stuff, but it's mostly stuff that is free everywhere else in the universe like Netflix, Love film, internet explorer, skype, all the different on-demand TV apps, Lastfm etc etc etc. Free everywhere, but charged on xbox. It's not adding features to the price, it's adding a price to features.Ninja-Hippo

Like I said in another thread, I believe if im not mistaken that It is up to 3rd party devs or publishers whether thier games run on dedi servers or not.

1. Xbox Live is just a Toll booth to your Internet and nothing more.
2. PSN+ at least gives you free junk as long as you pay a fee. ("renting" whatever you freakin' call it.)

Just like i dont ever see MS catching up on the hardware.  The ps4 is significantly more powerful not to mention you cant even upgrade the 500 gb hdd which sucks since every game has to be installed. Ms really just needs to stick to software.

I don't have PSN+ and I don't plan on doing so in the future even when I get a PS4.

However PSN+ doesn't restrict your access to services like Crunchyroll or Netflix unlike Xbox Live.

I know what I'm paying for and I paid for Xbox Live for nearly 3 years, It was awful.

I don't have PS+ but I can see that it's a better deal than Xbox Live.

Better GraphicalUserInterface interface.
