Which rpg's you consider are better than Persona series Warriors? :)

None to be honest. I used to love Final Fantasy's like pretty much every one. I was like a huge fan and I still am but once I played Persona 4 Golden on a damn handheld it made me look at Final Fantasy completely different. I'll give honorable mentions to The Tales Series, The Chrono Trigger/Cross Series, and Skyrim, though

If you think Final Fantasy XV is better than Persona 5 than you obviously haven't played it. I'm sure of that.
You list Final Fantasy 8, 10, 12, 13, and 15 as being 'better than Persona' (which is already laughable to begin with), but neglect to even mention the actual good Final Fantasy games (4-6).
top kek
- Final Fantasy
- Dragon Quest
- Chrono Trigger/Cross
- Xenoblade
- Souls
- Mass Effect
- Baldur's Gate
- Breath of Fire
- Icewind Dale
- Dragon Age
That's not to say that I don't enjoy Persona though, I enjoy them quite a lot.
Nothing at this point
how many RPGs you played this year ?
Nioh, Yakuza, Horizon, Persona, Zelda. I've got Mass Effect and Nier waiting. I also played Dark Souls 3 this year, though that's a 2016 game.
All by series:
Mass Effect
Dragon Age
Witcher
Elder Scrolls
Deus Ex
A little off topic, but do you think ME:A is still an RPG? Sweet bicycle riding Jeebus but there is alot of unnecessary filler and wandering about in that game.

Just BotW, yeah
And yeah, I agree lol.
An indzman thread where he takes the opportunity to praise FF games? How am I not surprised?
I guess it's hard to accept the truth that FF7 is bad because you've spent most of your life believing it.
As per the topic: Shin Megami Tensei is better than Persona.
@indzman:
Final Fantasy VII better than Persona?! To that, sir, I say: "HA"! I do love Final Fantasy VII though but it's hard not to notice the bad translation. Maybe the remake will renew my interest. The others were cool though. Until FFXIII came to the picture.
Panzer Dragoon Saga, Chrono Trigger, Skies of Arcadia, KOTOR, The Witcher III, Souls, Nioh, Grandia II, FFVII, Ys Origin, Valkyria Chronicles, and pokemon gens 1-2.
Persona 5 is still a good game though.
Well Demons and Dark Souls; The Witcher series; Jade Empire; KOTOR and 2; Fallout 3, NV, 4; Elder Scrolls; Mass Effect including Andromeda because the combat is at least exciting; Fable series, Dragon Age series, Deus Ex games including Invisible War.
Honestly, I can go on. Turn based weaboo games are very unplayable for me.

Why wouldn't Andromeda be an RPG?
Skill leveling to tailor play styles? Check.
Increased gear stats, both in drops and crafting? Check.
Character creation and other customizations? Check.
Party selection for mission? Check.
Story choices / interactive experience? Check.
Exploration? HELL YEAH!
While the class system isn't implemented in the traditional formula; fixed classes with fixed skills/powers/weapon training, there's still the character building progression that you can customize through your skill leveling. And that customization is more flexible and dynamic where you can essentially build your own custom class as you see fit, which can follow the common archetypes if you still want to (Warrior, Rogue, Mage) or experiment freely to create your own unique hybrid instead of the pre-determined class mixes.
When ME2 suffered so much criticism for "dumbing down the RPG elements" (more so from the community than the media), why is this expanded diversity in character building (along with the most complementary weapon/gear customization the series has ever seen) not welcomed?
Sure it does beg the question how a completely unrestricted character building model will impact replayability, especially being able to re-spec any time you want, at a cost. Segregating the play styles by restricted classes, which divided the kind of experience we would get from the combat and story scenarios, encouraged going through the game again to try different approaches. It's an old model we're just used to. But then again there's still the branching story paths with moral choices to try out, along with the relationships.
Which is the other significant factor; the player interaction with your party and other inhabitants of the game, shaping your experience with your team and the universe as you explore it... the engagements that are integral to actually role playing.

FF 7-15, but not 6?? mmkay. 12 had an awful story that fell apart halfway through, and 13, you may as well be on rails.
In terms of Japanese style RPGs, none are better. There are a few equal, or that I have had as much an affinity for (Lunar Silver Star when that was first out) but none better.
Western style? Apples and oranges. Don't go comparing Skyrim or Dark Souls to Persona. Just not the same.
@charizard1605: Horizon isn't really an RPG. If it is then Far Cry is also an RPG. It has RPG elements but I certainly wouldn't lump it with Persona or Dark Souls.
I'm counting everything vaguely RPG under that banner haha. See also: Zelda.
It's hard to discern what is an RPG these days but it's still easy to tell Persona5 is one. If Yakuza 0 and Nier Automata count I would say they are a tad better just this year alone. But I'm a firm believer that video games are only getting better and I have a hard time picking old school games that I truly believe are better. Crono Trigger, FF6, Phantasy Star II... They were better in their time but certainly not better period. I loved those games more than I love Persona 5 but no way are they better.
Well, that is pretty hard to list. It would be easier to list which games (that I have played) that are worse than Persona 5.
But since you asked for al ist I will do it,
I consider almost every single RPG I have played to be better than Persona 4. The only Persona game I have ever played, and most likely, will ever play.
P4 was the worst jRPG I have ever played, and jRPGs are my least favorite genre. It isnt my least favorite game though, Uncharted exists and as does Ragnarok Online. But Persona 4, Uncharted Drake's fortune and Persona 4 are probably what I would consider to be the unholy trinity of shit.
@Maroxad: You sir are a f***ing troll. People love to hate on shit when it starts gaining hype and momentum. Terraria, tho. Get tf outta here lmao
@Maroxad: You haven't seen those flipped asset games on steam have you? Judging on your three worst games ever I'm guessing video games in general are only a vague notion in your mind. LOL. It's cool, I hate Uncharted too and like to slam it as much as possible as well. But come on now!
@aigis: Well, I am sure it is much better than 4. But I can not say whether it is good or bad until I have played it. But my experience with Persona has been an incredibly shallow experience thus far. I want it to be good, since I love the concept.
@valgaav_219 I have been strongly anti-Persona 4 for years now. I dont like or dislike Persona 5. Since I have not played it. But at the very least, I can respect it for doing what I want sequels to do. This is nothing new. Terraria is a great game, despite being 6 years old, it has 20k players playing right now and is the 16th most popular g ame on steam. Quite the achievement. Its support is also phenomenal and its replay value is phenomenal, with so the game finding ways to be fresh years after launch.

Clarified my original post. to make sure I meant only the games I have played.
But yeah, I am sure a lot of those games are worse.
#@Maroxad: There are millions playing Persona 5 right now. I'm pretty sure it's over 20k still playing Persona 4 Golden on Vita for God's Sake. But at the end of the day the Persona series(for the most part) is standing head and shoulders above your average run of the mill rpg(like half your list) right now. Numbers don't lie. A little Niche RPG selling millions in just a few days says it all.
