What's the hardest game you've played this gen?

The first stages are easy. By the time you get to the first boss you can feel a moderate challenge. The next stage comes and it stops being easy. Some of the levels are really quite tough. The third stage comes and your totally baffled in some places. By the time you get to the final stage your using your full mental capacity to wrap your head around the insane logic.

*shudder*

I agree with Zack and Wiki. That last level was hell. I don't know how many times I wanted to throw my controller towards the TV.

Without difficulty settings increased Demon's Souls I guess (It doesn't have difficulties).

On the highest difficulty setting its been either Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1, Sigma 2, or Killzone 2.

Later this week I should be started Bayonetta on Climax Mode so that might make its way in there

Gah, Ive played quite a few.

Ill just say Mushihimesama Futari simply because its the last one to make me rage.

Probably Wipeout HD. That game can really kick your ass on phantom elite.

Not too sure. I try and play all games with difficulty settings at the highest possible on first playthrough.

I'm gonna give it to Persona 3 though, because maxing Social Links, levelling up, and trying to max Academics, Charm and Courage can be incredibly tricky.

The last remnant that game had long and tough battles.

I have absolutely no skill when it comes to action games such as DMC. I mean I really suck. I'm surprised I got through GOW 3. But I say the hardest for me is DMC4.

yeah Zack and Wiki was ridiculous. Hard to the point where it stopped being fun. and I mean who were they marketing that game to anyhow?.. Why make it so hard if you are going to make it look like a game for kids

BulletWitch on the hard difficulty, what a pain. To be honest, there were quite a few, but I hated that one the most.

Yeah it was difficult even on normal. I did die a lot but it was either dieing by gunfire or a random glitch.

Oh I actually enjoyed them the first time through. Some were pretty long so after my first play through I just skipped them

this game isnt that hard if you ever played...any game before 1999

i got all the way to 4-2 without dying the first time thru, i got through ng+ without dying though

Demon's Souls for sure. Muramasa is a close second.

No, its really not that hard of a game dude...if u can just not die till u figure out what to do on a boss you will win easy. Plus...magic makes the game much to easy.

Why do people play Demons Souls? It's average at best, especially if you use your brain. I'm assuming we're talking single player. A lot of FPS games are really hard on top difficulty settings. But to be honest, 99% of that is cheap difficulty. Doesn't really count. I'm going with Oblivion on Very Hard. Those rats....

Resonance of Fate was pretty darn difficult.

the majority of games on hardest mode are tough..

Atm am having difficulties with Metro 2033 & SC2 (both on highest difficulty)

F-Zero gx on Gamecube, awsome game but couldnt get very far. About to play Demon souls tomorow night at a friends which will be interesting.

I wouldn't call Demon's Souls hard, because if you figure out what to do, it's surprisingly easy. On the 4-1 boss, at first I died with no damage to it at all, but when I figured out what to do, it was bleeding easy, though wth do you with 2-2 boss?

Mega Man 10 on hard, Castle of Shikigami, and Deathsmiles probably.

I seemed to die a lot in STALKER too, but I think that was just me being sloppy
