For me it was Marvel vs. Capcom. I could never beat the final boss. One night I tried for like 2 hours and ended my attempt with hurling the controller at the TV and breaking that poor dreamcast controller. What is your story?

Call of Duty 4 and World at War on Veteran. Enemies can be throwing a grenade opposite of your direction, and yet the grenade will magically find its way close to you. Not in front of you so you can thrown it away, but someplace where you have to move out of cover to throw it or you die.

Probably ghost and goblins back in the NES. Mind you I was probably 6 or something but I remember that game being like impossible. Contra too. This is probably because they would also only allow a certain number of continues and when you died, you gotta do all that garbage over again.

Street racing Need for Speed games (underground, most wanted, etc...), early Megaman games on the NES, and Gears of War 2 simply because I wait 10 minutes to actually get a game, it lags, and everyone leaves. Happens like 60% of the time :x

Some of the parts in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare on Veteran. For some stupid reason I wanted to play the game on the hardest difficulty. Don't know why.

I beat it, but wow I almost stopped playing the game at some parts.

Just try it. I tried it and gave up pretty early. I did beat it with Super characters though.

Final Fantasy III DS. I can still hear the random encounter sound, the music playing while you fight, and the music that plays when you finish a battle. It's all so freaking annoying, and I really wish I could get it out of my head, but I think I am doomed to hear it for the rest of my life. It's my fault for even playing one of the worst games, ever.

Pfft no super chars here and you get 3 chances + checkpoints, not that bad :P

Try DMC3 or even 1 on DMD and you'll know frustration lol.

:lol: It's a very, very traditional JRPG with a poor story and characters. The later FF's are much better (especially VI, VII, VIII), but they'd probably give you nightmares too since they all have that same finishing battle jingle.

halo series. let me try and think what i have broken. probably 2 wireless 360 controllers, a wireless mic, and 2 regular mics, and a hole in my wall. thats between halo 2 and halo 3.

I never owned a PS2 so I could never try (although I do want to play them). I think the reason I've given up on NG2 while I continued to play DMC4 was that the enemies had a learnable pattern which made it easy to dodge, but in some of those battles, getting killed was almost inevitable. NG2 on the other hand I don't even get frustrated with. I just put down the controller and walk away.

1. Mega Man X. Climbing to the top of Sigma's lair.

2. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The Zero missions. Especially the one where you fly the remote controlled plane and take out the vans with bombs. Horrible.

3. Ninja Gaiden Black. Those fish. I wouldn't have beaten the game if not for discovering how to exploit and kill them with ease.

4. Call of Duty 4. The section towards the end where you have to reach the launch controls before time runs out, on Veteran. God, I HATED that part.

5. Shinobi (PS2). Everything.

Definitely doing 15 minute melee in SSBM was the most frustrating thing, always getting to like 5 seconds and then getting KOed and that whole 15 minutes being a waste.

R2 most recently, I couldn't quite figure out why I could take rockets from Titans and drones to the face but when a car blew up that was it, I'd die. It didn't make sense to me.

Elite Beat Agents... i broke my original ds playing jumpin jack flash on expert ( or elite, whatever they call it)

needless to say i failed a couple dozen times and ground pounded the screen, a week later i got the new ds lite, and beat the song first try.... the lite truly is way better.

It sounds like i hate EBA but i actually love it.

DMC wouldn't be the first game where something like that happened to me, I don't know if you just get so good at it that it seems easy or if there is supposed to be a certain aspect that is supposed to be hard but really isn't.
