These daily/flash/community sales are killing me. I wish it was the 30th already, so I could just buy up everything knowing that it wouldn't be discounted later. Over a week into the sale and I haven't even spent half my budget for the sale. It's sort of great in a sense.
Man, **** community vote.
That Ikaruga sale looked so delicious. But it didnt get voted on despite being in a group with Hotline Miami, Super Meat Boy and some other game. It's like a bunch of kids screamed in from some youtube channel and saw 'Blookethland!' and voted on it. :C At least, that's what my imagination assumes happened.
Hope it pops up again on a flash or daily, but I probably wont mind getting it at the 50% off if it doesnt appear.
Battlefront 2 without the multiplayer (LOL). The original Dark Souls (cheap game with cheap deaths). BeatHazard (Good music game), and BlockLand? (Dafuq)?
im really sick of games with block graphics.
What's up with all the copying going on lately:
Minecraft is popular -> lots of games with block graphics pop up
DayZ is popular -> lots of unfinished survival games pop up
Surgeon simulator is popular -> lots of 'wacky physics' 'simulator' games pop up
Not even mentioning all the moba clones out there...
Dont act like this is a new trend.
Copying and cloning has always been around the industry.

That game looks glorious and the review exemplifies the qualities this game possesses.

To this extent though ?
Nope, I've never seen it happen this much in gaming.
Whenever something is popular now, dozens of clones pop up. The industry is bigger than ever. The stealing and copying is too.

I know what you mean.
I have hope it will pop up as a daily or flash too, but if it doesn't... that would be a real shame. Especially because Dark Souls and Star Wars Battlefront already were featured as flash/Daily.

I think that's just perspective. I dont think cloning, stealing and copying has intensified as an issue, it still carries the same ramifications than it has before, despite there being more cases. At least now, there are measures, actions, globalized journalism, criticism and media present than there was before for people to actually take notice; making people assume that its a bigger problem than in the past.
It's really not worth stressing over. When there are greater things people take for granted for an increasingly expanding industry.

Oh sure, but they have found ways of avoiding that too:
-not sending review copies to the press
-launching on early access on steam. Which means there are no reviews, nobody has played the game. people have to actually buy shit before they can write a review on steam saying its shit (so the damage is already done)
I just have had enough with all these survival/moba/wack physics simulator games on PC.
There are many genres that died out or are close to dying out. We don't need 500 fucking MOBA games.
Yes, I know there are worse things, and I haven't even lost money on one of these scams, but it still pisses me off.
Don't forget to grab the original Payday guys. I can guarantee you that you won;t find a better deal this sale.
I was going to grab it. Then I remembered how boring I found it to be when I played it on my PS3, so I passed.
I'm on the red team
I feel like such a loser always winning but the only thing I win are more trading cards :/
Yeah same here. I am on red and so far nothing but cards and I just sell those.

At least that is something.
It's not much you get per card, but if you keep selling cards you can end up buying a game with that money :)

ive made about $12 this sale from cards
Grabbed Payday: The Heist ($1.49), F.E.A.R.: Ultimate Shooter Edition ($2.49) and System Shock 2 ($1.49) all with revenue made from selling collector cards. Can't wait till those summer sale cards start demanding higher prices (at least I hope they do).
Got Assetto Corsa, I think the time is right for me to enter the world of PC racing sims. Looking to grab some of the simbin games too.
Spacebase for $8.50! Great value if you don't mind early access. If you do mind early access pick it up at X-mas for $4.99
At least that is something.

That's how you do it !
Meanwhile people are spending dozens of dollars to help their team win in the daily competition, for a chance to win 3 games LMAO
Payday The Heist and Battleblock Theater are by far the most fun games I've bought. Oddly enough, they were the cheapest games too.
so i bought dishonored yesterday and already played it for 6 hours, its damn epic. getting a heavy bioshock vibe + deus ex + thief
My damage so far:
Xcom Complete ($16.49)
Enslaved Odyssey to the West (4.99)
Batman Arkham Origins (7.49)
Tomb Raider (4.74)
Shadowrun (3.74)
Shadowrun Dragonfall (5.99)
Killing Floor (4.99)
Payday 2 (5.99)
Monaco (1.49)
Insurgency (6.74)
The Wolf Among Us (6.74)
Metro Last Light Complete (6.79)
Gone Home (2.99)
Total = 79.17
Thats why I hardly buy brand new games anymore. The only two forseeable ones in my future are Dragon Age 3 (i think Bioware will right the wrongs of DA2) and Witcher 3.

I thought it had one of the best atmospheres and lore designs of any games last gen. The story is just so bland and I found it hard to push past the halfway mark. Hopefully you don't find the same problem. I've been thinking of trying to get back into it.

I was mostly impressed by the level design combined with that delicious art direction. I still haven't finished it either, I'm on the last level I think. ;_;
Since everyone else is doing it:
Total: $32.30 USD
*Games paid for by suckers who bought all my collector cards.
My turn!
I picked this up as well. I had the original game on Steam but never finished it, and seeing as how Steam has removed the original and DLC from the store, purchasing the Director's Cut was the only real option for me. But man, why did they remove the gold filter? It sounds really petty, but that persistent gold haze gave the game a stylish art style and contributed a lot to atmosphere--now it's been removed, the dated graphics are even more apparent.
And speaking of dated graphics: texture quality and lighting looks notably worse than the original PC game, and I suspect this has a lot to do with the fact that the DC was supposed to be a Wii U-exclusive and then ported to other platforms. This won't stop me from playing this great game, but I don't understand why the port wasn't brought up to par with the original PC version (and why the gold filter wasn't added back as an option).
Proud that I still haven't bought anything
Was there something you were hoping would go on sale?
Lol at Watch Dogs on flash sale for 20% off at a completely reasonable $47.99.
GTFO.
What a waste of flash sale space.
I think i got it on preorder from GMG for $45
I never had an interest in it, even moreso after its reception, but I'm a bit surprised that Steam would even try to promote it given its recent malignant PR.

There's been a number of games I wanted to get, but I'm resisting since my backlog is already large enough, so I have enough games to hold me until the winter sale
