Persona 4 Golden does have best team chemistry. And best music imo. But in Persona 5 Casino music is the best. This is non-debatable lol

Just found out who the traitor is, man I'm really surpised.

This was spoiled for me. It still took me by surprise.

Thanks to the Internet, I already knew who the ruler of the 7th palace is. And the fact that he is actually the MC 's accuser didn't take me by surprise, as they look alike.

Now im just going to throw this out there, but the P4 and P5 casts have very different types of chemistry.

P4's tone is more upbeat and therefore the bonds between them are a little more innocent in nature. P5's tone is a darker and they do get along because they have all found each other even though they are kind of outcasts, but they do poke fun at each other in more cutting ways than P4's cast. I dont think P4's cast would work in P5's world and P5's cast wouldnt work in P4's world, its really about what you prefer. Personally I think P5's dynamic is a little more interesting

How? The Game practically gives him the label from the get go. It's not at all like Adachi in Persona 4 which seemed like your character was just taking a huge shot in the dark and got lucky on his guess.

The whole Akechi ordeal you can see it from a mile away. Especially, if you notice the very first sign when you talk to him for the 1st time. Now, the whole plotline (in which him and you, the protag, are main "characters") surrounding Igor and ultimately the main story, was indeed surprising. I had a feeling the drastic voice change wasn't that innocent, I just couldn't confirm any of it myself until the game told me what happened exactly. Though there is one Confidant that does "stir the pot" in that direction, though even if you max it in your first playthrough it's not enough to guess exactly what happened (though, again, it does push into that general direction).

I'm sure that you've already noticed that this game could win soundtrack of the year.

SOTY is almost guaranteed. And it should be a strong contender for GOTY, along with BOTW (and possibly RDR2 and Mario Odyssey).

There is literally no game this year that could beat Persona 5 for soundtrack of the year. Not so far, anyway.

Personally, Persona's music is more my style, but hey, classic 16-bit music is awesome when done right, as it looks like Sonic Mania is going to do.

@charizard1605: Well it's more like 90's pop than what you'd find on the Genesis, but my man Tee Lopes is amazing either way.

Don't get me wrong though, I've been listening to the Persona 5 soundtrack on repeat for the last two days, because I finally don't have to worry about coming across any spoilers, lol.

I bought it off iTunes lol. It's really good.

I guess the good news is that Meguro will continue to work on Persona with Persona 6 even though Hashino is gone, so we're guaranteed good music from that game, if nothing else.

Persona 6... so since I'm new to this, should I be getting on the hype train for that in 2022 or closer to 2027? :P

Man, I wish I knew. The release cycle for these games is all over the place. The original launched in 1996, Persona 2: Innocent Sin was 2000, while Persona 2: Eternal Punishment was 2001. Then Persona 3 was 2006, Persona 4 was 2008, and Persona 5 was 2016. So the next one could be as early as next year, or it could be like 10 years down the line lol.

Basically I'll be old and dying before we get to Persona 7.

lol, I see. It might go faster this time since the series seems to have hit mainstream level. Plus, SEGA did show a picture of Persona 5 in their new priority shift presentation, so they might increase Atlus' budget. It would make sense anyway to do so.

God, I hope so. The problem is that Hashino (a.k.a. the dude who was behind Persona 3, 4, and 5, the actual creative vision behind these titles) is gone now, so I have little faith in Persona 6. I mean, I'll get it anyway, but I don't know if they can hit the highs that Persona 3-5 did.

I know what you mean, but I have a little hope. They have a solid basis of what a persona game is now and really if they just follow them it should turn out fine... at least thats what I tell myself

Oh, I am sure the structure and gameplay will be maintained at this point. Like, I think they're far too smart to mess with a winning formula like that. The problem is that the guy who is apparently going to be director for Persona 6 is responsible for bringing us masterpieces of video game storytelling like Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

Persona had a good run, is what I am saying.

I had no idea Persona 5 would turn out to be so damn good. I don't think any other game this year can top it for me. I'm not done and already looking foward to a second playthrough.
