Spirit Tracks gave me the most anxiety out of any Zelda game, I'll give it that.
I liked Skyward Sword, but didn't love it.
+I did like the sword combat. I'm not going to say it's perfect, but in my experience, any finnicky-ness I had with the combat was minimal enough throughout the game that I wasn't terribly bothered by it.
+the dungeons were great (Ancient Cistern and the sandship are easily some of my favorite in the series)
+I didn't hate ALL of the stuff inbetween dungeons. I did like those stealth orb-collecting parts (albeit they could be frustrarting). and the desert area was just cool in general.
+I enjoyed some of the side quests and dealing with the NPCs in Skyward Sword
+Liked the story and how the put more emphasis on Link and Zelda's relationship. Also was surprised by Groose's development and ended up liking him alot too.
+Great music
As for issues:
-any of the motion controls OUTSIDE of the combat. Bomb-bowling was bad, trying to play the harp could be a pain, would have preferred normal controls for swimming.
-The largely empty overworld and, IIRC, lack of shortcuts (there wasn't anything like the Ocarina songs from the N64 titles, or how in OoT you could, say, blow up some boulders in Death Mountain to more quickly reach the Lost Woods). This stuff comabined made going from point A to point B more tedious
-Having to refight the imprisoned twice was a pain in the ass.
-the fetch quests for the robot dude and dealing with the 3 dragons were largely lame parts of the game.
Overall Skyward Sword is one of the weaker Zelda titles, but not one of the weakest. i'd definitely rank it over both the DS titles, Zelda 2, and Triforce Heroes. Maybe Minish Cap too because for whatever reason that game never really gelled with me (probably doesn't help that I didn't care about how they handled a good chunk of side-stuff).
@mems_1224: Will be insane if it does. This is like our first ever AAAA hyped game in System Wars. Its gonna be awesome. Das hype is real!
I still don't know if AAAAE hype can be met...
Isn't AAAA a 10/10? then what's AAAAE?
AAAAE means a title exclusive to a platform. Since this is on WiiU it isn't an exclusive.
@mems_1224: Except most previews were raving. No use in downplaying the quality of this game.
im not, im hoping its good because i want to play it. im just saying, there is no way this game doesn't score a 10 here
It could easily score a 9. Gamespot can be incredibly fussy sometimes.
Okay, so the following two issues are what I can see detracting from a 10/10 score for this game:
The former is probably not going to be an issue (I mean, The Witcher 3 got a 10...). The latter- it depends on whether or not this mechanic clicks for him, I suppose.
seeing AAA with 92 average on MC.
Too low on the Metacritic Avg. This has 95 MC written all over it.
The bane of my existence
The game is balanced around weapon degradation, it actually works very well unlike in other games. It's basically like ammunition in shooters (and you are always given a lot of weapons, so you're never quite short)
an 8??? Man that would be flop of the century. No way this is less than 9..
ikr, what is this? TLoU?
Pfft, Twilight Princess

I hope so. I'm going to try to keep an open mind and get the master sword as quickly as possible. If that breaks, im out :P

Okay, just rewatch trailers #1 and #3 for the game carefully, and get back to me lol. Maybe also take a close look at the Game Informer cover
@charizard1605: I forgot about that lol. So I just gotta run over and grab it, easy
Pfft. It'll be interesting to see how they handle it, that's for sure

Just going to have to keep running in a grid until I find it :P
Better idea- play the entire game through without a single weapon

At this point, I am more or less surprised at how relatively reasonably priced the season pass is next to the mess that is Switch accessory pricing lol

Reasonably priced season pass is an oxymoron.

Or maybe the pass is "cheap" because it won't include that much content.
