The five must have games of the gen.

(first and only rule is everyone has their own opinons and none are wrong since these are the games they thought were important) If someone had never played any of the games this gen which five games would you say are the must haves to be played? It does not have to be from a certian genre or even from different genres. It does not have to necessarily be 5 games that represent the entire gen either but just the ones that are the must have. For me it is -

Gears of War

Skyrim

2. Fallout: New Vegas
3. Dark Souls

SMG2 is the only absolute must play game I can think of. I can think of plenty of other great titles, but nothing I would just recommend to any gamer out there.

Yeah out of the whole gen, those are the only games I'll probably still fire up a decade from now. Not saying there aren't other games that I've enjoyed, but I'll look back at these games as the standouts of the generation.

5 months, actually. I played the PC when I was a kid before I moved to consoles, but I was no where as close as I am with the knowledge about computers now. I appeared to return to PC gaming. Got tired of feeling like a 3rd class citizen with consoles.

As for Half-Life 2's release date, it was close enough. :P
