@uninspiredcup: Yakuza 0 is hilarious. It was on humble bundle a few months ago. My only gripe is that I wish everything was voice acted. The transition between the two is jarring imo.

@Chutebox: No, it's not about Chaz, it's about how shitty Gaming Journalism has become. I still recommend watching. It's about taking older games too literally for political reasons, like Jack Thompson with the GTA series

@uninspiredcup: Lol I remember that part, it's very close to the start. Try out the side quests when you get the chance, they're one of the best parts of the game imo (like the dominatrix one lol).

Carolyn Petit should have hosted feminist frequency from the start, much better at it. Unfortunately Anita Sarkeesian's poorly thought out examples have tarred it to the point some people will write it off by default.

Having said that, Carolyn Petit gave Resident Evil: Revelations a bad score, when actually it's one of the best RE games. Unforgivable.

Super psyched. I got the news today that i've got some decent money coming in. So i'm gonna be finally stepping up to 4k with a new TV. Plus gonna get a 1440p high-refresh monitor for when I wanna play some more intensive games. Means I gotta upgrade my GPU in a couple months though...

I too wonder about the Monster Hunter World and the effect such slaughter might have on the local ecology?

When you question the morality or consequences of the game you are playing you create additional layers of depth and immersion.

I don't know why the monsters all need killing in Monster Hunter World. But to have your slaughter have an effect on the wider ecology is a compelling gameplay element as far as I'm concerned and mihgt tart up an otherwise kind of dumb game.

Likewise. If you ignore one of the two genders of your race, you are limiting yourself to just looking at tits when you could be actually fondling them.

Perhaps we should study monsters and women and not be afraid of them

Congrats on moving up to 4KTV and I still game in 1440p myself in high settings. At the end of the month, I'll be going with RTX 2070 cause it's time to move onto RTX line for me. 6GB is becoming obsolete in heavy AAA games now.

Nicely done! I got mine on Black Friday 2017. It was on sale for £1399 down from £2400. 55in LG OLED 4K. In the mean time, I've bought another car.

@davillain-: Yeah, I got to level 25 or 26 I think. Completed the main story, and there was just no drive for me to grind higher-end gear. I might do the same as you. With D2 coming up, I started a new game on the first, and it's just way better.

Does anybody have experience with this TV? I'm willing to go up to roughly $3000, but i'd really prefer to stick around $2000, because that extra grand is another mortgage payment lol. That, or it leaves some wiggle room for a second sound-bar and my current one can go in the bedroom with my current TV.

@davillain-: I haven't been a Bioware fan for that long, but I'm losing my patience with them. I know I should probably feel the same with Bethesda (or at least the internet wants me to) but I don't as I feel FO76 was just one major F up in between a few games. Bioware has been going downward much faster, I think.

Shame as I've been playing DAO recently. And I love that game (Looks for tgr).

I do have a Samsung 4K UHD TV but my experience with such a TV is well worth it! Me and GF wanted a 4KTV this past December and this was our first 4KTV and we both love it. But I mainly use it to play PS4 games and it's also my all-around media for Netflix, Amazon Prime ect, all i can is, you shouldn't have no problem with that Samsung but the QLED 4K UHD is a nice bonus.

(I'm considering buying Pro now but that's gonna have to wait until November's Black Friday)

@MonsieurX:I was really considering the P-Series a few months ago. The downside is the lack of Freesync, which would be great for my PC.

I really like the inclusion of Freesync as i'll be using it for my PC, and the 120hz refresh is dope. This'll be my first time trying out 4k and HDR, so i'm gonna have to go back and play Horizon and GoW on my Pro. I'll let you know if it's worth it lol. I'm sure 4k (or whatever native is) with HDR is gonna look gorgeous.

This is the lounge. Here we just talk normal stuff and think of it as a pit stop just friendly conversation with one another before returning to the battlefield that is system wars.

I have G-sync monitor and I really didn't consider freesync since I don't use AMD (despite I have Ryzen 7: 2700X) GPU at all. Now that Nvidia supports it, that's also cool.

I'm hoping that my Nvidia card plays nice with the TV. I know Nvidia have released a "list" of sorts with monitors that have been tested with Freesync. Plus, the inclusion of 120hz means I don't have to worry about grabbing a monitor for that high-refresh goodness.

Gonna go see it tomorrow and form my own opinion. But judging from the reviews it seems Brie Larson was way too bland in the movie. Such a shame.

A 33yr drought hopefully ends this year.
