Nintendo should ditch consoles and go third party.

Microsoft should ditch the Xbox and go third party.

What the hell, people

Yes it's time to call it quits on the failed Xbox project. MS are billions of dollars in debt and Xbox has delivered nothing but participation trophies for MS. Time to put it down

Yes, they should ditch it, and so should Sony and Nintendo. No more exclusives with everyone united on PC. The ultimate platform. We don't need consoles because they are shit, redundant, and a waste of money. They also fragment the gaming community and poison the minds of the weak and create fanboys/brand loyalists.

I wish both Sony and MS would. Get these proprietary hunks of plastic crap off the market and lets concentrate on decent software instead of like 3 exclusives a year that you complete in a couple of hours each.

Nah, but if they have any sense they should put all their games on Xbox and PC, If you have a console of your own and a near monopoly in a second platform then it would make sense to support both equally.

Xbox One is doing better than the 360 at this current life cycle.

So no.

That'd be a dumb move. They're in second place and selling pretty well.

Nope, they have too much market share for that.

Well said gentlemen. Once again a poster in SW has no inkling of business sense. This company's stock went from 42 to 55 in 6 months that they gave away their new OS, had their lowest selling halo and the supposedly abysmal Rise of the TR sales. They make near 3 billion per year on cell phone tech patents alone. Could they pull out of the console manufacturing business? Of course. But it doesn't look likely right now. Everyone wants to be first place of course. But when you're second and your sales pace is increasing each gen then your product is in good standing.

Or possible go third party and support everything else? They already kind of do that with Minecraft being on every platform under the sun.

Until Wintel PC gains effective local machine DRM, Xbox will continue to exist.
