I like how the Nintendo switch brings the console feel to hand held.

I like how Microsoft gives people a taste of the PC experience that can't afford it jk.

I like how Microsoft has that pause feature to bounce between games. It's pretty nifty.

I like Microsoft's approach with Game Pass and if I own another Xbox, I'll definitely subscribe. I also believe that their future is pretty bright and will be a vast improvement on the XB1 era.

I own a Switch and love a few games, but don't love the console. So, I love the quality Nintendo puts into their 1st party games. BotW is a must play experience. Fire Emblem is fantastic. The Switch is truly innovative.

Do you feel that not owning games and having to continually pay for them is a downside or does it not matter because you're a beat the game and throw it away type of guy?

Back in PS1/PS2 days, Sony had some of the best series from their own studios in the West: SOCOM, Syphon Filter, Wipeout, Twisted Metal, OG God of War. The list goes on

During the PS3/4 days, the main positive is the two From exclusives and God of War 3.

I like the aesthetics of the ps5. It’s a well designed piece of minimalistic modern art that blends nicely into any living room.

I do like the bundle of PS4 games that comes included with the ps5. It’s a great collection for people who missed out on them first time around.

I like how Sony make the shittiest games so they save me money not having to buy their crappy console.

I like how Nintendo whore out the same franchises since the dawn of of the time, they also save me money as i dont need to buy their hybrid crap.

PC, i like how i don't need to use one because my phone does e-mails.

There are no current gen consoles that I dislike, so I'll go a bit retro.

I don’t dislike consoles. It’s easy to shit on the Switch because of the weak hardware and overpriced shittier multiplats. A good thing about the Switch is that it’s “different”. The exclusives don’t interest me but I can see how it can be a unique addition to someone with a PC or a stronger console.

I see Xbox as useless since I have a good PC. I wouldn’t say that I dislike it.

Microsoft: I like how they are supporting PC so you have the option to play what they offer without buying a redundant console.

Nintendo: I like Zelda

Sony: I like the exclusives they offer and risks with new IPs.

PC: I love the freedom and options you have for virtually every facet of gaming, from hand picked hardware to where you want to buy your game from.

But I don’t dislike any of the consoles currently or from the previous gen, or the one before that.

I love the idea of PC gaming but as someone that sits at a desk staring at a computer all day, I never want to play on it.

I would be happy with any of these consoles. Currently going the PC/Switch route, but that may change in the future.

Nothing wrong with that, as i've spent most of my career doing the same... Still, hook that shit up to a TV and use a controller for many games, and it becomes a lot easier :P

Fair do's. Windows 10 is bordering shit and hasn't even implemented HDR properly lol. I even returned a 2080 for replacement, as I thought the fault lay with the card... It didn't.

I have two gaming desktops a work laptop, and my phone all within 8 feet of each other and with bluetooth usb dongles, there have been tons of controller disconnects/issues.

I bought a pci-e card for one desktop (my son's) and so far so good.

But mine which with the usb dongle still occasionally lags or disconnects all together.

I'm thinking regular wireless controllers with their own dongle next time.

I can't even come close to commenting on this in a sense that is remotely pragmatic, but it could be shit vying for usage and W10 just crapping the bed.

TBH, i'm all for limiting connectivity as much as possible. I don't use smart-home devices, as I get enough adverts on my phone.

PlayStation 5 is the most powerful action console.

Xbox games are on PC, and that's great. In cases of games like Sea of Thieves, they seem to be more successful there.

In my single days I definitely had a PC hooked up to my TV. Now it's a lot easier and cleaner to have the console setup, the streaming to phones and tablets makes things even better.

Definitely can't argue with that. Looking forward to a family, but not to giving up my space lol.

I think the Xbox Series is very innovative in printing the image of a game that hasn't even been released on the package.

I also think that the method of promoting Game Pass using third-party games such as RDR2, which can only be played for a few months, is very consumer-friendly.

Finally, MS promoted the Series X as the most powerful console, which became clear that it was a lie. Nevertheless, I think that the attitude that MS behaves as if it had never happened is a great model for a profit-seeking company.

I love how MS convince its player base that quality games doesn't exist.

It just "feeels" next gen.

Girl here. I don't care if I own a game or if it's through a subscription service. I am a completionist and I enjoy getting trophies/achievements which help me get a lot of games. I rarely go back to them, though, which would signal that Game Pass is the superior choice, but I'm also a fan of Sony's 1st party games and often buy a lot of 3rd party stuff on discount or preorder the collector's editions for the statues.

Back in the 360 and PS3 days I used to alternate between the systems as I didn't have a clear favorite. I'd love to get there again honestly. Now that MS purchased Bethesda and owns one of my favorite studios (Arkane) I can see an XSX and GP in my future.

They're alright. Just can't compete with my PC. I love the Switch tho, but hate Nintendo.

Same. While I don't like the Xbox console itself, even I know there are fans who loves it and so with that, you love Xbox, more power to you.

While the XSX may have an upcoming game on its packaging, I really think Sony could have paid the child labour workers from Wishdotcom a little more.....having a "cutting edge" console delivered in egg boxes is bordering on the embarrassing....

Not a fan of modern Sony either. I'm a fan of PSVR though... and hope that it gets supported with PS5 games.

I do like some of what MS has done with BC/Gamepass and pushing the free upgrade concept. They just don't have enough exclusives.

The PS5 makes a good platform for my TV and XSX...

Although it requires help getting it up to my 2nd floor bedroom.

PS and Switch occasionally get exclusives I like. Xbox, thanks for not locking games behind hardware. Contradictory? Yes. Wish Sony and Nintendo would do the same, glad Sony is at least dipping their toes in.
