BishOp confirmed the numbers, but feel free to play this game yet again. Your batting average this entire generation has been 0.
and ZhugeEX said something was off?
@BenjaminBanklin: unhealthy obsession with the Xbox, I'd say.
I'm just reporting the facts, and they don't give a damn about your feelings. Damage controlling is far less healthier.
These are not facts thereestimates, and Sony could also be lying out there A$$.

Naturally the Xbox fandom views themselves like the Trump movement. Except, ya know, Trump actually GAINED traction.
Ironic you're using Trump and his fandom as an analogy for just XBOX fans. When a plethora of "gamers", even Sony fans on this forum DO THE SAME THINGS.

LMAO! Like Sony would risk a run-in with the Securities and Exchange Commission because they wanted to fluff up numbers for message board wars.
As long as they keep pumping out BC titles then who cares?
Burnout Revenge came out today yea baby!
The World most powerful retro console ever created!!!! yeah!!

Xbox fans are more MAGA than Sony fans when it comes to the console. Nevermind that MS publicly stands against Trump, but whatever.

ZhugeEx has shipped numbers. Retail got stuffed with Scorpios, naturally. It was a new SKU delivered before eocy. There is a very specific reason why I have, and continued to rail on Lems for the "30-ish million or so of them". I didn't budge. They are a paper tiger, and I know what numbers will shake down when the rain comes.
@kuu2: Hilarious seeing them foam at the mouth with their hatred for Xbox based on a deduction of an estimate of an estimate , LOL

Hilarious that you guys seem to act like you speak for all gamers on everything ranging from multiplats being the highest priority in importance to most people to always online consoles being the future of gaming while your house is on fire.

Like the numbers you're pulling out of your ass aren't estimates. ZhugeEX's numbers are estimates as well as the numbers you lems have been pulling out of your asses since 2015. No one has any solid numbers because MS continues to hide them. I'd rather take EA's numbers since they are in a better position to give us estimates since they are one of MS' partners and would be more privy to such information. EA estimates are better than "analyst" estimates or random rabid fanboy estimates like yours.
@kuu2: Hilarious seeing them foam at the mouth with their hatred for Xbox based on a deduction of an estimate of an estimate , LOL
You heard it here, folks. EA is just a multi-billion dollar fanboy looking to take down the Xbox machine with random numbers that would hurt the Xbox brand. TO TWITTER! So we may smite the infidels!
People arguing/boasting about sales. Lol. This part of the internet is pretty sad.
Microsoft literally does this when they come ahead in NPD. Which is rare, I know.
@Zero_epyon: The only people who cry about Xbox numbers are Sony fannies. When would you people understand that this forum doesn't reflect the real world.

Just a sample from 2014 to 2018. Are you prepared to say that these outlets are "Sony fannies" for pointing out and analyzing the reasons why MS doesn't release their numbers? In your mind, they shouldn't really care, right?
The point of my comment is that a lot of this press could be avoided if they just come out and say it. IMO they're just making it worse.

EA estimating sales is a "fact"? Wow.
Now this is a fact. I can trust Nintendo and Sony numbers because they come from the source. Until Microsoft comes out and says how many sales their have been all of this is speculation and estimates. The facts are simple, no one knows exactly how many Xbox Ones have been sold period until Microsoft says how many. So using estimates as facts is ridiculous and sad. Estimates have been found to be wrong in many many cases. EA could be right or they could be wrong the fact is no one can prove it one way or another.
rofl these ppl calling these fake news? u guys are sad. These are FACTS, its simple math. Embrace it and move on noobs.
@Alucard_Prime: It’s all they have now. Their low attach rates show they don’t actually buy and play games. It’s why they create more Xbox threads than actual PS news.
Sorry but, your high attachment rates are indicative of a low sales base and lack of options.

They not sharing their numbers is making worse for who? Or what is being made worse by not sharing their sales numbers?

Look at the articles I've linked. That's all negative press. That then forms public opinion. This affects investors, both current and potential, and smart consumers. All of that impacts how much Xbox improves as a platform. Sales matter. Always.
@Shewgenja: if you check the first quoted message of his, it speaks of install base, but shipped numbers and the yearly growth on xbox is less than what just NPD has for the year, so thats what I find odd
I am so glad these numbers finally came out in a substantive way. So many Lems on this forum have been pulling numbers completely out of thin air for so long and treating Zhuge's 35M as indicative of their installed base. So many inaccuracies have abounded. MS coming out with a third SKU to further obfuscate their customer base means that this is likely the last accurate snapshot we will have for the XBox this gen, in all truth. However, yet again, the echo chamber sings its chorus in here acting like EAs numbers are foul business. The longer we drag this out, the sillier the numbers will get.
In the real world, XBox has gone little to nowhere with the brand since the big black rectangle and controllers with jewels in the middle. Remember this day and remember it well. XBox is back to having its foot in the door. They can make changes, or make excuses. It's obvious what the system wars plastic box worshippers are ready to do, but if you actually like XBox, you will challenge them to move the needle. The power is yours. If saying so makes me a cow somehow, do some self analysis and quit being such a fangirl.

Yeah, I covered that with a comment but thought it wise to not let on about how that number was reached. It wasn't a shipped number so much as shipped=shipped and I fess up that wasn't the right term to use. However, I will just say a case could be made that both mid-gen upgrades sales don't get looked at as a new installed user. Brand new adopters of the Pro and the Scorpio are just outliers when you really think about it. Same could also be said of people who wanted a Slim because it is quieter or an S Model for its performance boost or aesthetics. Software companies have to be hard on hardware numbers because they pay for all those discs that don't mosey off of the shelf at some point. It's all a game, and the smart move is to lowball XBox's userbase.
TLDR: the only companies that care how many PS4 Pros or Scorpios were sold are the companies that made them and the companies that have to keep them in stock. It affects publishers very little. The delivery model is exactly the same.

They are negative and are making an issue about something that really is not a concern of theirs. All of those articles don't care about the reality but creating sensationalize nonsense which goes right back to my original point. The release or non release of numbers would literally change non these editors approach to MS. What you have simply prove is that I was wrong about the stupidity limited to these forums but that the nonsense does extent beyond forums into professional journalism.

So...if you don't like the Bone...you're an idiot.
Isn't that stuff sore losers say?
You Rabid Xbox Fanatics love Xbox and there isn't anything wrong with it, but you all should demand better from Microsoft instead of defending their nonsense this generation. I have a Xbox One that's collecting dust.
Really Xbox one collecting Dust?? I guess you don't like to play retro games lol!

How is a console not selling well not a concern? It should damn well be a concern to the people that own it. It says the platform holder needs to get its ass in gear to get more hardware out there to get more content. MS has the wealth the support an ailing console, but it's never a sustainable business decision.
MS being weird and clandestine about the numbers because they're all saddie-face bloo bloo did more harm to the image of the health of the platform than actually showing them. MS could clear a lot of this up by being just straight upfront about it.
Oh look, another cow circle jerk thread with the usual suspects... you guys really are too obsessed. It's just a plastic box, no need to think about it 24/7.
You're aware that you are on a board called System Wars, right?
Honestly can't think of any reason why you are damage controlling this hard 24/7.
You could always go to the Xbox forum and steer clear of all the harsh, but factual criticism directed towards the Xbone.
Oh boy, here we go again...
How am I damage controlling exactly? Everyone knows that the XB1 has sold alot less than PS4. We get it!!! Everyone knows that Xbox needs more games content... we get it!!!!
I'm not disputing these facts at all... I'm saying that having the same cow orgy threads over & over & over & over is getting real old & boring. But anyway, I guess it makes you lot warm & fuzzy inside.

There is literally no signs of developers abandoning the Xbox nor any signs of MS abandoning the platform. So what is the concern? Again the only people who are "concern" about the Xbox and their numbers are Sony fannies like yourself. This has been and continue to be the case time and time again.

I mean, we have a clear example of a poor selling console.
The WIIU.
It got Batman, AC and COD the 1st year it came out. After that well...
