You really expect MS to invest into quality games? Under the Gamepass model?

I personally think that Redfall bombed because of Phil Spencer meddling. The game was made with GaaS in mind, but due to backlash Phil as usual wants to save his ass ordered the team to focus on removing the MTX portion causing Arcane to shift focus.

I mean its great removing MTX but Xbox also should have delayed the game even at the cost of yet another barren year for Xbox. Gamepass exist to feed users with new contents while Xbox fix whatever it needs to fix.

They did the same shit way back in 2017 with Scalebound...

Went from a single player story focused JRPG..

To some 4 player co-op multiplayer game that MS refused to provide additional funds for..

Demanding MTX to be added caused the development team to need more time to develop but M$ didn't want to provide more funding...

That's why the game was cancelled and all Japaense devs outside of Capcom silently stopped wanting to work MS and only put their games on the system after they are old AF and when MS dropped an enormous bag to put them in Gamepass.

Damn. Interest in this game sure is high. Got it pre-installed myself. Looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about.

Hmm i am curious about what happens to ID myself. I think they have a strong enough spine to tell MS to gtfo if they want them to create some GaaS trash coop shooter.

as an Arkane fan, i'm looking forward RedFall.. there's no denying the negative PR buzz around the game though.. i definitely wouldn't be surprised by a 6/10 from 6Spot..

that said, i'll be playing tomorrow via Game Pass to decide for myself.. 🤷‍♂️

Are we sure Redfall is stable enough for a good launch? I hope the animation isn't broken. As long as the PC version is legit good, I'll be fine.

I still say there's no way in hell that MS could release a game in 2023 that looks worse than a PS3 title. Based on gameplay I have seen so far the lighting looks good. Animations look subpar and graphics are meh but the lighting is nice.

More importantly, have you played the first Motorstorm recently. It's voodoo magic how good that game still looks and feels to play today.
