Biggest dissapointment of E3.
How about KI3, Banjo, Conker, PD, new IP, no here have a wii sports knockoff.
and I oncewas one of the biggest Rare supporters here, how depressing.

pc-ps360
that is the biggest epic fail in the history of video games to be honest
i don't care who you are, while stuff like "Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Raaaaaaaaaacer!" and "giant enemy crab" were hilarious... they were just poorly done
this is just bad, and even worse, they put quality effort behind that bad, even relished in the badness by changing their logo

They tried working with their core titles, but they didn't sell. Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts especially did terrible, and that was their finest offering on the 360. Rare is a business, and they have to move in the direction the industry moves. Microsoft didn't exactly aggressively market their titles, but ultimately it is the consumers fault the games didn't sell, it is the consumers fault that they have to moved into casual development to survive. Here's hoping they still have a hardcore development team working on something down the line.Biggest dissapointment of E3.

I'll agree that it's partially gamers faults (people really should have given N&B a shot ..one of the best games of 08). but they shouldn't give up after a few failures a good PD game would sell, and I'm pretty sure a conker one would also.KI3. . . On Kinect.... fail on top of fail.Maybe they are working on KI3 for Kinect. Or maybe Conker using Kinect.

I don't understand. Rare has more than one development teams. Were they all working on different aspects of this game? What are the other teams doing?Zero5000XI think they only have one team left. The shooter team left to make free radcal and lots of people have been leaving ever since
i always like people bemoaning rare's 'casualization' or whatever while reminiscining about killer instinct, which was like the most casual 2d fighting game out there on top of never being good. you could tell who was 'casual' back in the day at the arcade by whether they were wasting their time and money on garbage like killer instinct or mortal kombat, or dropping tokens in sfa2.
Who thought that any new DK would go to XBLA, its still and has always been a Nintendo propertyeveryone thought that goldeneye and DK were going to be on XBLA but nope its on wii
