@sealionact: What's odd is that I know several people, all young, that don't have PS Plus but play Fortnite all the time. I wouldn't cancel my subscription for it either, so it's a moot point for us older people that can afford the $40-$60 per year for the subscription. It's a dumb thing to nippick, and I think people are only doing it now because MS made a huge issue over Fortnite being cross platform play. It would definitely help MS sell more Xbox One S's if they dropped that requirement, just for that game alone.

Even though this is a fake PSN ID change, it’s a good start even if it’s late. What I mean by fake PSN ID change is because that not all games will show your new ID. They even stated there will likely be errors so you can go back to your old one anytime. The reason you can go back to your old one anytime because it’s a fake PSN ID name change, your old one will always be in the background. It’s good you can “change” it free the first time but it sucks because after that you pay and that’s including the errors and games that won’t show your new ID. I could see nightmare scenarios where you aren’t able to play certain games with your online buddies because of your new ID. Good luck to them.

What a mess, games after April 2018 will be compatible, you'll have to check a compatibility list for previous games to see if your ID will work else you'll have to revert back.
