Three people at three different game studios, speaking anonymously because they were not authorized to talk to press, said that in recent months they’ve been fixing bugs, tweaking settings, and ensuring that their games are compatible with Sony’s plans.

A fourth person who worked for a game studio shared a photo, obtained from internal Sony documentation, of a PSN profile containing the option “edit username.” The documentation was a guide for changing one’s name on the PlayStation Network, that person said.

I've had mine since psn was first introduced. I don't see a reason to change it now

Normally, I don't often trust Kotaku but then again, they always been working with Sony in good terms so I guess I'll give them credit for being this legit. That said, I ca finally change my name as my GS username now. (Not like I don't mind using my previous name, I just prefer to use my GS name)

Xbox live costs a monthly fee. That gets you online MP, games to download and keep (regardless of whether you still have Gold). Access to special deals, and more. Fortnite is an online game, regardless of how much it costs to buy....you need to have Live to play it. Thems the rules, and if it upset Xbox owners as much as it upset trollcows, it wouldn't be the number 1 played game on Live right now. If Sony want to encourage players to skip paying for PSN, they can offer online gaming for free .... you think Sony gamers are leaving PSN in droves?
Nope. It's a non issue. MS are charging for a service ... when Sony charge parents to set up an account that prevents kids from spending online, they charge for nothing. When Sony make deals to keep content from other console owners, or when Sony still charge you to play a PS3 game you already own .....
Now that's anti-consumer.
