No, I believe over caffinated teenagers sniffing pixie sticks are ruining gaming with there love of blood and giggling boob physics.
Think of the amount of CPU and GPU processing power is wasted on boob animations!!! Dead or Alive on the 360 used 88 percent of the 360's power just on the boob physics!!!
Ok I made that up... But seriously the Wii is not ruining the gaming industry, it is helping it grow. Much like home consoles helped it grow from being just an arcade experiance.

By selling on par with the PS2, yes that expansion, making casuals even more casual than they ever were[QUOTE="Tylendal"]No. If anything, it's saving gaming.WuTangG
You see back then, they would buy GoW, but also buy DMC, now even GoW and NFS are too hardcore
No. They bought buzz, DDR and Guitar Hero. Also maybe a sports game or a racing game.

on par? look again http://vgchartz.com/hwlaunch.php?cons1=Wii®1=All&cons2=PS2®2=All&cons3=X360®3=All&weeks=156No. It has not prevented the 360 (or the PC, or the PS3) from receiving terrific games and terrific multiplats to share amongst eachother.
However, the Wii's library is not impressive. So, the demographic it is appealing to may very well be killing WII gaming (Nintendo's 1st party support i now moving onto other new projects like Wii Fit, and 3rd party support continues to look lackluster throughout the next year.)
poll TC?
and no its not. but i would love to hear the debates from those who think it is? im predicting "its not powerful compared to others", "its graphics suck", "its games are kiddy", "the wiimote is a useless step backwards for gaming" and "its too casual" among others.

Since launch, Nintendo has announced one high-profile "casual" games (WiiFit) and four high-profile "hardcore" games (MP3, SMG, SSBB, MarioKart), and suddenly "casual games" are their main initiative?
System Wars is getting more and more bonkers every day.

Fun fact: The Nintendo has supported their hardcore fanbase with more hardcore titles within the systems first year then any other Nintendo console.
[QUOTE="TheTerribleFish"]Finally someone who knows whats going on. Studio: Lets make an original game. Publisher: Make something that will make money. Studio: Lets make a FPS.Where is the poll? And no.
I believe shooters is destroying gaming.

I disagree. I think that its onlnie multiplayer. The constant demand for online multiplayer even where it doesnt fit at all sucks.(I saw people saying that uncharted would suck because it didnt have online) Devs are eventually just going to start shoving in online even if it sucks and that will take away from the time and care that devs spend on the single player which totally sucks, and some genres might just be abandoned all together. Even the games that are suposed to have good online are suffering. Five hours for CoD4 singleplayer? that freaking sucks.
My point is that SP quality shouldnt be sacrificed for multiplayer (IMO). Except for free radicals games they should be super focused on MP because they are so damn good at it. They could ditch the SP in timesplitters all together and I wouldnt miss it.
thats not as coherent as I wanted it to be but I'm to tired to fix it.

Im not hateing but the wii just does not have any games I want to play. Plus I have a strong dislike for the controller. Only reason I support the Wii is because it will bring people that dont play games to begin with, and hope they they will grow past games like brain age, wii sports, and the like.
The thing that is bugging me about the Wii from watching the people I know is that they have bought 1 or 2 games and thats it. And they always have wii sports because the game comes with the controller pack. Third parties just really seem to have fallen behind.
Bah I guess it really does not matter and we should ignore sales and enjoy our games.
I don't get it. Why was there so many anti-Wii topics today? Is it because of the Black Friday sales? Or is it because of that stupid Greenpeace thing, and people remembered that they could illogically bash Nintendo too?
