I like Fennekin as a starter and second evo, but I feel like Froakie has the best final.

And come to think of it, I've never started with a water type ^o^! Maybe I'll go with Froakie.

I stuck with Chespin as my starter even though his evolution looks shit, I'm hoping his final evolution won't disappoint.

Trying to level up some bug Pokemon at the moment.

Bought Y this morning (didn't even make it to the shelf :P), and am going to play a bit of it here in a second. I am going to pick Fennekin.

I've got Charmeleon, Frogaider, Pidgeotto, Butterfree, Kadabra and Pancham.

I can't believe how many good Pokemon there are this early in the game. I haven't even downloaded Torchic yet + the exp share is really overpowered.

Well think I'll head on over to Walmart to see if they have any copies, don't feel like waiting for another hour and thirty four minutes for Gamestop to be open, I need this game now.

I have Quilladin, Wartortle, Litleo, and Fletchinder right now. As cool as Blaziken is I don't think I'm gonna put Torchic in my party - I want to actually learn the new pokemon unlike 5th gen.

Ah man Sentret looks like a chubster in this game. Pretty funny.

Picked up my copy (X version) at Walmart earlier. Didnt even have to preorder! Just started playing. I always get stuck at the part where you gotta name your character. Im sure ill think of something.

Since they allow you longer names and nicknames now, I was finally able to create "Zassimick" as my trainer. Went with Froakie and named him Glenn after the great Frog from Chrono Trigger. Using some 'mon right now I'm pretty sure I'll give up once I get different ones, but loving the game so far.

F Walmart, went to two in my area and it seems like nether had people working the electronics department. Then went to GS in the Flatirons mall and there was a long line, so I said frack it and went to Best Buy, went in there guy immediately asked if I needed anything and I said "just wondering if you have Pokemon X", then hands me a copy.

I got lucky. Walmart was really my only option. Im sure the gamestop in town is sold out. I wish we had a Bestbuy.

The most disappointing thing by far is the lack of 3D in the overworld.

So many cool moments, and you can't even view them in 3D.

Thats nice. Ill be expecting tribute. :P

So yeah, I was buying three copies of X and Y and a copy of Mario and Luigi Dream Team and wasn't even the biggest spender today.

Some dude was buying a red 2DS for himself, a blue 2DS for his younger brother who looked six and Pokemon X for himself and Y for his younger brother. Of course, I just watched this all awkwardly. :P

Worst Route 1 ever btw. Otherwise, the overworld is quite gorgeous. A little limited when playing side-by-side with Shin Megami Tensei IV, but still very detailed and very fun so far. Don't know if I'm going to go for old Pokemon at all as I try not to in newer games.

Does Fletching have two evolutions or one?

Wow. So I can't take off the rollerskates and I'm stuck using this garbage dpad in order to walk without them? Who the **** thought this was a good idea? These things are a pain to roam around with in caves and tight areas.

@Xaero_Gravity: Yeah, movement feels clunky, like the game is still tile-based as its predecessors were but now it takes an extra half-second to move each tile. Could be worse

Dunsparce just wrecked the entire first gym with rollout. No one was spared.

You know this actually is a big disappointment. The caves are in 3D and they look spectacular. I have to say I saw screenshots of the game and thought it looked terrible. Playing it on the 3DS is so different though, it looks amazing.

Also I saw a Bagon on route 8 I think and then it got burned from my flame body and I couldn't catch it. Spent like 20 minutes looking for another but ultimately never saw another. I put a smeargle up on GTS asking for one, hopefully I get one soon. Also the second gym is way after the first one. My pokemon are already level 26-27 and I've caught like a box and a half of pokemon already.

It's also nice to see some little touches that they did. For instance I think Pokemon X is supposed to have zangoose, y is supposed to have seviper. But you can catch seviper on X - a horde of 4 zangoose and one seviper appear and they attack eachother while you're fighting them.

I bought the game on the eshop at 9:00pm yesterday. Early wait, no lines, no preorder, SMTandFEA payed for most of it, and lastly no GameStop employees!

Very nearly bought a 3DS just to play this. Came to my senses though that all I would use it for is this one game and while I'm sure its a great game there is just nothing else out/coming out on 3ds that warrants the 150 euro price tag. Especially on a college student budget! Anyway to all who got the game, I hope its great, enjoy!
