They say that the delay is related to optimizing for 9 different systems, but in reality, we all know its delayed because they can't optimize the game to run on the original Xbone at over 19fps 😊

@davillain-: Their product managers obviously had unrealistic timelines. Such a shame that these devs had to go into crunch only for the game to be delayed again for 21 days. Makes me think they were never confident in that November release date.
I honestly don't mind those delays, but let those guys work at a healthy pace, we waited 6+ years for this game we can wait a bit more.
I'm just gonna leave this here:
And there are 2 things you can take away from all of this:
Duke Nukem Forever would like a word with you lol.
Is anyone really surprised?
Well, yeah kinda. The game already went gold so everyone assumed it was a done deal.
Probably to give people more time to get a RTX3080
You have a better chance winning the lottery twice before you can get a 3080

Right, this is why some companies don't give release dates until it's 1-2 months from coming out. I think the biggest problem CDPR are having is trying to get this game running on last-gen consoles at a fairly decent level. If CP2077 was PC, PS5, Xbox Series X only they would have much less issues overall. This game is pretty damn demanding on PC and yet, they are trying to get it to run on a PS4 and Xbox One.
People might point to Witcher 3 port on Switch but that game is older and they had time to work with getting it on Switch it wasn't released on Switch the same day the PC version came out.
AC Valhalla and Watchdogs Legion are bigger open world games. What's their dumb excuse? This game is overrated. The only good game CDPR made was Witcher 3.
Size =/= Quality.
I'll just wait for the next gen patch at this point.
No patch will make CP run/look great on PS5.

Sadly, when games are delayed, crunch is simply extended for more days.
@davillain-:I seriously pity the fools who will play this game on Xbox One and PS4, at this point I'm curious to see how it runs (horribly) on those consoles. I'd say ditch them but it's hard for CDPR to ignore the large install base of these platforms.
@Willy105 : Not always but in this case, certainly.
Seven years in development, all that money from publishers, delay after delay after delay... I guess CP2077 is a scam.
because it exist. having shown gameplay, previews, release date coming.
star citizen is something that doesnot exist and will never going to release/
It exists, iv played it.
A lot of launch games being delayed all of a sudden. Definitely not good timing for any video game company.
@fedor: Here is my only real complaint. The whole “We are developing this across 9 systems” is a total lie. They have already said PS5, Xbox Series X|S are not getting their upgrades until March 2021.
Come on gamers, it's only 21 days, (at the time of this post) not sure why everyone is so upset? Releasing a complete game is way more important than releasing a rush game.
Agree

Seems kind of harsh, especially since not everyone was able to secure a pre-order online for the next gen systems. I'm still gonna go to stores and check online as much as possible, but even if I can't score one by December 10th I'm going to play it on my Xbox One X, even if that makes me a "fool". *shrugs*

Agree
TW3 was patched to hell and back after release, it'll be the case this time too.

And a definative edition coming in a year

That also.
I'm just gonna leave this here:
That image is objectively false. I am not sure why its still being posted as if it has any merit today.
Why don't you use your brain a little more to interpret its implications?
"A delayed game is eventually good." = Take the time to improve and complete the game.
”A bad game is bad forever.” = Don't rush to make incomplete games.

I pity anyone who plays it period.
Pretty disappointing but 21 days is nothing and if it means less bugs then so be it. At least now there will be more time for Legion and Vahalia.
@WESTBLADE85: The video shows both Miyamoto's right and wrong decisions. For example, canceling a bad game like Star Fox 2 and switching to Star Fox 64 was the right decision. It was also a right decision that Nintendo did not invest deeply in a mediocre company like Argonaut. It was painful for Nintendo to lose GTA, but if Nintendo had focused on games that required such high specs, a big success console like the Wii wouldn't have been developed. The overall revenue Nintendo has earned from the Wii far exceeds that of any AAA games at that time.
I also wonder now, was the crunch even necessary?
What do you mean? If they didn't crunch they would be even further behind.
@i_p_daily: @WESTBLADE85: Anyone who says DNF just needs to stop. DNF went through different developers back in the day and had to face a lawsuit but that game was never given a release date, it remine untouched until Gearbox got the blueprint and release the game as it was left by previous developers. DNF was meant to be on Xbox & PS2, it was never design for Xbox 360/PS3 which is why the game ran like crap. That said, this doesn't apply to Miyamoto's quote.

I doubt you were even born "back in the day" or you are just talking outta your ass, since Duke Nukem Forever was officially announced in 1997, was originally using id's Quake engine and was supposed to release in '98. No word on any console release back then, let alone a console that literally did not even exist yet (Xbox).
