Nah, Retro Studio makes Donkey Kong games or action-adventures like Metroid Prime far better than Rare. Another right decision by Miyamoto to choose Retro over Rare.

CP2077 has been in development almost as long as Star Citizen.

@WESTBLADE85: And I doubt you read gaming magazine either to know the whole story back then. Either way, this argument is silly, Rather CP2077 delaying helps making the game as best as it can be remains to be seen. I'll gladly take a perfect finish game and not a rush game.

What ever they need to do to make it as close to perfect as they can for launch gets my vote.

Also now that AMD has shown their hand... Gives me time to think which GPU to order once stock is available for both... To me its either RTX 3080 or I'll pony up and go 6900XT, 6800XT is too close to 3080 price and lacks support in Cyberpunk Ray Tracing so no thank you... BUT getting more performance and basically 3090 performance with a 6900XT for $500 less I can sacrifice Ray Tracing, MAYBE!

Which means I have an extra month to procure a 3070 or a 6800 (XT). Guess it works out in the end.

OK, so you want to end a silly argument (that you started) and then proceed to talk about how the delay is a good thing.

Maybe you didn't notice, but the game went "Gold" 3 weeks ago, and the physical discs should have been pressed already by now. Simply put, they were lying an knew delay was inevitable.
Although, i am not hyped for this game at all, i understand why people are pissed off. Though some angry customers clearly went overboard and need to seek out a shrink first.

@briguyb13: To me the only platform where it "makes sense" to play it is the PC. I don't think the PS5/SeX versions will be too bad but anything lower than that would just not run well. At least on the One X you have the best possible last-gen version and a free upgrade should you buy the SeX so you're not doing bad at all.

Spacing out big releases is actually a good thing for those who plan to play them. That said.. I wonder what happened since the game had supposedly already gone gold. Must have had a pretty big game breaking problem they discovered last minute. Either that or they simply decided to update the in game store, monetization, or add/remove something.

That didn't save TLOU 2, Crackdown 3, Spore, ME 4, Too Human, Diablo 3 (yes it was trash pre 2.0), Aliens Colonial Marines, DNF and the list goes on.

Delaying a game =/= making it better, although we already know 2077 is gonna be good and at it's worse it'll be an 8/10 game.
