What EXACTLY is this thing meant to do?The-0nemake everyone forget that there's no games on their system......
Can someone list the features that it is supposedly going to have over Xbox Live (if it's implemented correctly)? Other than price...no fanboy responses please. I can't watch the video on Gametrailers...at a public computer. :?Puckhog04
Life like avatars. Virtual house to live in. Hang out with other users outside or in your own pad. Customize your public and private space. Play arcade games. Its basically an MMO version of XBOX live.

And its working! Me wanty! Me wanty!
Playstation Home, eh? Sounds too community oriented for me.JandurinIt's for people who can't socialise outside in real life they can do it on the PS3!! Lame i know but the actual interaction between playing games line and such is massive. It will far succeed LIVE but don't count on MS doing some uber upgrades to LIVE. Nintendo...there online system always sucked.

Based off of that i don't see the superiority, if anything it make them about equal. Virtual House? I guess it's welcome but it seems like more of a gimmick. The life like avatars are kind of cool...but what are we talking about when "Life Like" is concerned? Because you can put pictures of stuff as your Avatar on XBL.

If it's implimanted right this is going to be really great. Anyone who as already played MMOrpgs knows how good it's going to be.
Finally a great, original idea from Sony! Now let's hope it doesn't end up like the AOL stuff.

To me its nothing great. :|. Honestly why would I want to speak to a load of random people online about Playstation stuff or real life things using a headset when I can do that on Habbo Hotel... which is ****.This is incredible. The money making aspect is huge. The game aspect is cool. Everything about this just screams "This is the future"A2D
This truly screams "next gen" IMHO.
Ok, now, XBL is officially boring! What gimmick will Microsoft pull out of their anal cavities this time?WinFreshexcept for the actual playing of games aspect.......if anyting this is the gimmick Sony pulled out to slow the bleeding...
[QUOTE="hellsing321"]It looks awesome. I was skeptical when I heard about it, but if Sony can deliver on everything they promise with it then it should be great.UnnDunnDitto. It definitely one-ups Xbox Live in the way it gives you identity.Definitely.....I can see massive Micro transaction now...The new virtual Jordans,Leather sofas, etc ...It's free but SONY will make a killing with the micro transactions......Two thumbs up to Sony for making a great looking virtual Identity for gamers.

It seems like it's a well rounded service (again, if it's implemented well) but alot of it seems like more of a gimmick than anything. Whereas XBL is an actual online service where games are the focus it seems like Sony is trying to make an online service where Social interactions are the focus.
