Nintendo Announces Pokemon X and Pokemon Y, October 2013, Full 3D, Vita Dead

There's a lot of signs pointing to Gen VI by the end of the year. The anime is in a filler arc, there's absolutely no news of any remakes...

Gen 5 was already a reboot. Doubt they'd try the reboot card a second gen in a row.

Hopely they implement a story that's memorable and less linear instead of the typical start off in some town, get one of three pokemon, meet Rival, run into antagonist Team (insert name here), beat a couple of gyms, Defeat Team (insert name here), beat rest of gyms, beat pokemon league, the end. I highly doubt it though which is funny because so much can be done with Pokemon storywise. The gameplay is perfected, everything else needs to improved, period

Unless the announcement is of more story depth, deeper gameplay mechanics, and more post "story" content, I probably won't care. A little off-topic, but pokemon are getting uglier and uglier in general with each generation. So if the game is not made deeper and has considerable amounts of nasty-ass pokemon designs, I won't even consider purchasing the game.

I can dream with Pokemon on the PS3/360/PC with great graphics.... no I can't.

I remember when my brother was a kid and he bought whatever Pokemon game was on the Gameboy Advance, he was pissed off that it was basically the same as Gold and Silver but with a lot of the best features stripped out. Even the graphics were basically the same, and they didn't change much on the DS either. The series is way overdue for an overhaul if you ask me.Timstuff

If it's a 3DS version in full 3D its a day one buy. If it's anything else i don't care.

Yep, Nintendo of America and Pokemon.jp have confirmed a major new announcement on January 8th.

I think this is it.
