Number 1 - Xbox One Gamepad:
Look at this beauty.
It's perfection perfected.
Almost.
No gimmicks, just a good old traditional gamepad.
On top of it, every X1 comes with an additional Kinect controller which may not be that celebrated but let's give it a chance to see if it improves the over-all X1 experience, eh.
Number 2 - PS4 Gamepad:
While deff. an improvement from the DS3, Sony wouldn't be Sony if they didn't include a useless gimmick (remember SIXAXIS?) in the form of a touch surface in the middle.
This surface will likely be used in gimmicky ways and is un-necessary.
The grips and triggers otherwise look good and it should be good for fighting games. (if you're an amateur and don't play them with an arcade stick)
Playing shooters on this pad will still be problematic due to the un-ergonomic analog stick positions.
PS4 also has a camera controller but Sony charge for it extra and don't include it with every PS4. (good or bad move, you decide)
Number 3 - Wii U Gamepad:
The Wii U gamepad is somewhat unique in that it has a touch-screen in the middle and a lot of other motion-sensing and camera technologies.
This is interesting so as the gamepad is the most valuable thing on the Wii U. (more than the console's hardware itself)
Still, the gamepad is incapable of HD resolutions and few games really demonstrate it in a effective way.
As of now, the most interesting thing seems to be running a 2nd picture while playing on the big screen, which, according to Nintendo, is good when you can't watch your TV.
This controller may also be a source of confusion since it seems a lot of people still think it's just an addon for the Wii or a handheld system.
Perhaps the decision to make a screened gamepad was pre-mature on Nintendo's behalf and would be better if they went with their other, pro controller, which looks more like a "traditional" gamepad and more understandable to people.
So, which controller do you like best and why?
Discuss. ;)
