I guess Resident Evil 5 would be the next game close to MGS4 level for me personally.

I'm also crossing my fingers for STALKER Clear Sky. If GSC polish the game well and not have it super buggy by release, then I can't see the reason on why it won't get a AAA score at least.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is on its own planet. Every Hideo Kojima game is just different, so their really is no game quite like it. This includes quality wise, because no game attempts to be more cinematic than game.

But other games that i think will get a ten here are Fallout 3 and Resident Evil 5.

I'll have to take your word for it...I might play it later on this summer...but I'm thinking on skipping it...I didn't enjoy ANY of the MGS games I have played...and as another poster in another thread said it looks really Japanese some of the humor within the games is dull...and well not funny. The voice acting in all of the MGS games has been POOR...after playing a game like Mass Effect, poor voice acting in a story driven game is simply unexcusable.

Every console had at least one great game in my eyes, MGS4 was definately a step in the right direction. Hopefully there won't be any new consoles on the horizon so the other franchises can get hit their stride.

when i say played MGS4, you sat down for 20 hours and played MGS4

But the quality from GTA:SA to IV is debatable. Like the length and options. allthough i hear it was only 3 years production. It may be hard for devs onto a differnent system. Its changeing everything.

And whos says its Gears 2? wow. From the years perspective, 2 years in between. !!* Gears1 2006 Gears2 2008. Are they going to rush it out for the holiday season? What? that cliff guy. Was debateing weather he was going to make a gears2. of course that could of been all for show. and get the media anxious because of the unsure answer. Other than that Gears2 is going to be delayed. And if not, its going to be half assed.

Yeah, I think FF XIII will be pretty good.

Any Blizzard games outdues MGS 4 in terms of quality. It is ubelievable how mch effort and money they put into their games.

First of all, how do u know how good these games are going to be. Second of all, I played MGS 4 and it is not that amazing. The online sucks but the single player makes it up for that. If I had to choose a game I enjoyed more at the time between Gears and MGS 4, I would choose Gears. But I actually did buy a PS3 for MGS 4 and thats why I may seem like a fanboy since I dont see any other purpose now with my PS3.
