I personally am over the real world tracks but at least it isn't Prague. They are showing SPA (Race track) tomorrow.

The car looked great in the garage, looked good in cockpit mode, then like a 360 game in third person view:?
Damage control already? When is the last time you played your, I mean your friends PS3?Looks exactly like Flopza 2012.

Game just looks like more of the same, looks like a 360 game, and they really need to work on the sense of speed. Hopefully the driving is better more up to GT standards.Â
Overall it seems great. Acceleration seems pretty savage as to be expected in the Ferrari, at high speeds the car is just eating up the road and corners approach rapidly.
Would have to play it myself to really nail down a judgement. Still can't pre order either console.Â
Lol, they surpassed GT standards 4 years ago.Game just looks like more of the same, looks like a 360 game, and they really need to work on the sense of speed. Hopefully the driving is better more up to GT standards.Â

meh - racing games don't really interest me unless they are the Burnout - smash type of racing games where the intent is to destroy other vehicles.
I like smashing pretty things.
Forza lokos ok though - at least OUTSIDE the vehicles. Inside they look cartoony.
He says XBOX Kit. Here is a pic of someone playing today and it shows the system. At the beginning of the video, did he say the game was running on a dev kit? Still running on a dev kit? Wow.

Still cant believe they have a rewind button :lol:campzor
I can see this being a useful thing in arcade racers with crazy tracks and stuff, but a game like this?Â

it is a good practice tool. It doesn't work online (where the real racing is done) and can be turned off and/or not used. Seems like a better idea to leave it in for those who may need it and let those who don't turn it off than remove it for everyone.Sense of speed is not there, Lack of movement from the car regarding body roll, pitching and dipping is extremely toned down, almost not there at all,Very static feeling in cockpit view, Lighting looks great though, The Car model it's self regarding the lighting, is pretty much identical with GT5(gameplay graphics wise cockpit/3rd person) especially looking back and fourth between a 599 and this F12, my final thoughts, the gameplay graphics look like they could really be done on a current gen console, not alot of next gen stuff going on. Â I will reserve my final thoughts for Nurburgring or spa or a full 1080P video.
Â
But, I'm saying, true next gen for me would have been, laguna seca at night in the rain, with 20 cars running at 60 fps. with lots of sparks and other effects.
So this is a bit underwhelming. i set my hype way to high for next gen, i can say the exact same for drive club.
Still cant believe they have a rewind button :lol:campzor
What better way to more open the game to other audiences than encorporating something like a replay button? You can turn it off, so whats the big (or small) deal?
The clouds are higher in the sky above Germany than the rest of the world. I think it is cute people are complaining about the rewind button, lack of speed (Yeah right), and the graphics. <---Meanwhile people who have played it has praised these things aside from the rewind button that can be turned off. Are they complaining because they are GT fans or are they nitpicking?Looks beautiful and i'm sure it will play even better!
But...what with those huge loading times? I thought next gen consoles had memory enough...

As a GT and Forza fan, i have to say, the car lighting looks very similar to GT5, especially in 3rd person and cockpit view, (the detail in the tail lights, paint, windows, etc,) Which, is not a bad thing at all. Â But i'm not blown away either, i was expecting alot more from a next gen game, I was expecting autovista levels of detail in gameplay, but it took a massive dip, It still looks great though, and i love the sound, really good echo effects going on. But like i said, it looks like it could be done on a current gen console, the most impressive visual is the cockput though, i like the little touches.Looks beautiful and i'm sure it will play even better!

You're not giving Forza 5 enough credit - a big thing for Turn 10 was to make imperfections more prevalent rather than just making the cars more beautiful.
As far as I can gather, shots like these are Forza 5 Autovista:
Looks good, but why does it look so slow?

My guess is because its Laguna Seca. Though it could be because we are watching an off-screen video.
60FPS is smoothe as butter, there are no ridiculous blur effects like shift, that make 120mph seem like you are going 200.Looks good, but why does it look so slow?

It is like people do not realize off-screen gameplay on compressed to Hell Youtube videos are not gonna be a good representation of the game's graphic quality. Like trying to explain evolution to a Chimp.[QUOTE="TorqueHappens08"]

I get what you are saying, and i truely like the new lighting approach, it's a far cry from Forza 4.But what i'm saying is while that is beautiful, it still looks similar to a current gen GT6 car model.

See? it just really underwhelms me coming from a true next gen system.
And it's not just forza, it's drive club too, Just very underwhelmed by next gen graphics in general.
New video with 60 fps 1080p encoding. Looks much better.

Well The Premier Racing Series for Xbox is on it's 5th version but still can't handle Dynamic Lighting, Weather, Night Races, and the $400 Marquee wheel doesn't even come with a clutch or H Shifter. But the car models have an even shinier layer of plastic on them for that extra authentic Hot Wheels cartoon look.I can see this being a useful thing in arcade racers with crazy tracks and stuff, but a game like this?Â

Maybe those will be featured in Forza 6, 7, 9 (Their skipping 8 for more HARDCORENESS), Forza Horizon 2 and 3, and a brand new Forza game based on slot cars all due out before Christmas of 2014!!
Â
Get your Milk Money ready!!
looks kind of sterile and boring, especially after watching NFS Rivals running on Frostbite 3, also why show a track that people have done like a gazillion laps around in previous Forza Motorsport games? also i'd like to actually see through the back of the car with the centre mirror rather than just a completely clear view because it just looks weird.Â

This. It is brilliant for learning new tracks, best way to take a corner etc.
