Mario Maker 2 Direct tomorrow @ 6pm EST/3pm PST

Confirmed for tomorrow, only 15 minutes.

These creation/building games really have me hooked as of late. Can't get enough of that funky stuff.

But the best part of this upcoming Mario Maker, is a more solid online community. Cannot wait to see more insane level creations

The announcement popped up on my Nintendo feed at the top of the hour. Sure it will sell and hearing about the game will be interesting but do we need such a game on Switch?

@Ant_17: Here's the problem with your post. At least it's a direct about Mario Maker 2, and you have the option not to watch it. Nintendo already announced a new direct for E3 2019 that's next month. Showing Mario Maker 2 now, means that the e3 2019 Direct will focus on other titles and new releases.

@Ant_17: Huh. I didn't think Playstation State of Play was bad. I see the same complaints for Nintendo Directs. What are people expecting? An E3 volume of news every time a company sends out a little video? New game announcements every time? They are mini updates for the fans.

Sony showed me a game I was unaware of/new MonHun expansion footage, updated visuals of FF7. I was happy with that. I've been happy with most of these Directs as well. I love them.

And they do add up over time. It feels to me like Nintendo has shown us half an E3 already because of their previous Directs.

Will watch. This is probably gonna be a day 1 buy for me. It seems like a game you won't run out of things to do in as long as it has a community continuing to make new content.

I wish they'd talk about the new Switch models already. It's the one thing I'm waiting on before buying a Switch.

Normally I would agree but in this game they are giving users the tools of past Mario games. It will be like playing a real Mario level as opposed to something bootleg looking in a game like Dreams.

There were a lot of official Nintendo levels in the first one, so I don't see why the second game wouldn't be more of the same. There were literally several dozen official levels over SMM's lifetime.

My most anticipated game of the year for sure. I can't wait for this. Midnight launch physical copy for me.

You could just play Story Mode, yes there's Story Mode in this version of Mario Maker

I’m pleasantly surprised with everything they mentioned. Also, if it’s anything like the first one we could look forward to periodic software updates to add more stuff.

It would have been nice if they announced a legacy mode so you can play and edit levels from MM1, but you can’t get everything (assuming it isn’t there and not just unannounced).

Still contemplating whether or not I want to get this game. I loved the first MM but the problem was, I spent a lot of time on some of my levels and not very many people played them. The people who did play them barely even finished them. I feel like this is going to be more of the same with MM2, just a lot of people's levels being overshadowed by Hold Right and extremely difficult levels.

so people can specifically search for things now which could make your level stand out.

Looks fantastic with a ton of features for creating interesting stages. Very hyped to try my hand at creating levels, checking out other people’s creations, and playing through the story mode.

Looks amazing. I probably won't be doing much content creation myself, but I will be playing a ton of that story mode and other people's creations.

Probably not worth the price for just story mode... but maybe in the future.

You could literally play this game for many years and not uncover all of it’s possibilites. Day 1 buy from me and I would like to get the voucher deal and use the other for Animal Crossing.
