Are you lemmings wondering why your not seeing much from the xbox scene? Well aparntly there is a new xbox in developement, and blizzards rob pardo is in talks with ms getting world of warcraft on it... How greedy is blizzard, or activision? So much for them being pc only. Here is the link:

Guess ms is going to launch a new xbox in the recession. And it happens again...they release a new console early whille killing off the 360 support. History repeats itself. Now the real question is have you lems learned your lesson?

Lets see how many people will buy another console as they killoff this one, before a gen is over....with bad hardware. Will lems fall for this crap again?

You do realize that development takes a great deal of time, don't you? Development cycles are usually 3-4 years, beginning shortly after the most current model release, within that system's 5-6 year generation span.

We probably won't see this new Xbox until 2011 or 2012.

And again, you make the rash presumption that 360 won't be getting any new games this year or the next. MS doesn't do it like Sony, hyping games over 3 years before we finally see them. They like to keep their cards close to their chest, showing theor hand only when it's strategically to their advantage to do so.

We'll have plenty new games to play in 2009 to 2012, trust me :)

This. Once a console is released they immediately start working on the next system. Your insane if you think a new Xbox is coming this year.

But if MS launched the Xbox 3 in late 2010 it would probably be the end of the PS3's success... at least in NA and Europe IMO

Not to mention it would be huge trouble for Sony- they won't be ready to launch PS4 till probably at LEAST 2012... and I'm guessing early 2013.

Sony has poured so much money into the PS3 they won't be ready to launch anywhere near as soon as MS would be... they need the PS3 to turn more profitable for a few years before being ready.

I've played FFXI on PS2/PS3 (and its available on 360), I doubt that's the problem.

Of course Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo have had their new consoles in development, at least early stage development, since before the launch of the current systems... I was just speculating... and I would love to see WoW on a console... especially if the online play was free.

It takes years to develop a console. They're not going to just develop it quickly and release it next month.

Besides, the Lifecycle doesn't mean a new system isn't coming.

PSOne came out in 1994,

the PS2 came out in 2000,

and the PS3 came out in 2006.

The PSOne didn't die off immediately, nor did the PS2, so even though the PS3 is scheduled to have a "10 Year" cycle does not mean that the PS4 won't be here in *adds Six to PS3* 2012?

No.... no they never said that. They merely claimed the PS3 would be supported for 10 years..... When you get older I hope you learn to read between the lines better, for your sake.

Of course it's in development, its that not obvious? I put money on the PS4 being in development, ven if we dont see it for years.

I'm sure all started on new systems as soon as this gen were released. I'm sure each had some kind of team brainstorming on next line. As for Microsoft, they better take their time & get it right this time around as hardware issues as pathetic as they are on the Xbox 360 won't be put up with by myself next gen.

For me a new console in 2010/2011 would be perfect considering im on this gen since december 05. I just hope they implement BC and support the 360 a few more years.

I think its cool that development has begun and the wheels are turning, but honestly, this has been a great generation of games and im more fixated on what they can squeeze out of my "now" console. TheEroica
