I'M emotional? This post in the very definition of someone who's dangerously close to giving their life for their plastic box. LOL! Listen, you've been a gaming hipster all your life, and you think you're sticking it to the man by not buying a Sony console. I just want to say, that's the DUMBEST thing I ever heard. You always chose to be on the outside looking in, and it's made you into an angry and bitter person. That's not a real gamer at all. That's a console warrior through and through. You're not supposed to support a console through the lows, you're supposed to enjoy yourself as a gamer. I owned all those consoles (well, not a TG16 or SMS because... yikes) and bought Playstations, because all the great games ended up on their platforms.
And no, no the Xbox platform is not as successful as it could be. We knew that when they stopped reporting console sales. They're ashamed of their place in the market. This is a trillion dollar company afraid to tell their investors how bad they're doing. So you know the console is a stinker. It has to be heavily discounted just to keep pace in it's home territory, and it's flatlined in the rest of the world. Xbox is still continuing out of bitter pride. It's not like they even make a profit from it.
Xbox, as it stands, is in shambles. The numbers are low, the games didn't help. At the very least, I still play what good Xbox games there are due to Play Anywhere. Backwards compatibility should have been a feature, not leaned on as a selling point. It's an admittance that the offerings overall are weak. I'm sure going into this gen they didn't imagine having to put their games on Switch and PC to try and stop the bleeding. They're practically third party. Yet they still want to cling to consoles knowing they can't ever capture the magic. It's weird how people still defend it to the degree that they do.
Anyway. Sorry your butt got sore. It's not THAT deep. But, this is still a Sony/Nintendo market for consoles. Xbox is still the rich squirrel that can't seem to get a nut.
LOL, yes like I've said, you are emotionally butthurt, it blatantly shows with how your projecting yourself, and ASSuming straight out of your ass by resorting to calling me a "hipster" and "sticking it to the man". Now you're telling me how to enjoy gaming as a gamer. Please GTFO. Not my problem most of you cows are too stupid to think for yourselves. Classic butthurt Cow who can't seem to counter argue. As for the rest of the manure you've shat, sorry Xbox is here to stay. Cry all you want and take as many pills as you want to make your nightmares go away, but Xbox isn't fading away anytime soon. So far they've been extremely pro-consumer and pro-gamer, and that's what I like to see going forward.
