inFAMOUS 2 Hype thread (56k) 7.5 @ GS - KEEP IT HERE!

I felt bad being evil in the first game but I feel this game does a good job at encouraging being evil. Those street performers and thieves deserve to get their arses kicked.

No I think inFAMOUS deserves to be a trilogy and I see no reason why the franchise can't continue. Sure I would love a new IP from Suckerpunch but there is still so much that can be explored with this IP. Also I want to see another adventure with Cole, he went from being an extremely generic character to one with a lot more to offer, heck I think I prefer him to Nathan Drake now.

it is very possible to make a 3rd infamous even with the ending......we dont know kesslers full story yet and since it was the whole "different time, different diminson thing" it's possible

Just completed it for the second time. Thought the evil ending was great, although there's one part of the final battle I really didn't enjoy doing. Now I get to mess around with ALL Cole's powers :D One more trophy then I'll have the platinum.BZSIN

Got it a few hours ago, just unlocked UGC. So far my impressions are: Blow the first away.:P

I hated the first game for many reasons (ie: bland city, boring characters, hardly any color, story was mehh until the end, etc), this game fixes all of those, plus a few more and is just better in every way.

I don't understand what Tom tried to mean when he said "inFAMOUS 1 was better", but I seriously disagree, as I thought it was nowhere NEAR a 9.0 and was more in the 7 range.:P I guess I was right about inFAMOUS 1 and 2's scores being swapped for better accuracy.:P

Anyways, that's it for now, it's an AA for me so far.:)

I'd personally give both Infamous games 8.5, but the second one is definitely better.

Yes, but incredibly powerful at the same time. This game is nothing short of fantastic.

I just finished my good playthough and I have to say that this game was a lot better than the first as far as I'm concerned.

There were still issues that bothered me (camera freaking out in tight spaces and borderline cheap enemies) but I felt they put a real good effort into this game. They even made me like Zeke. The ending didn't bother me much except for how drawn out it felt. I liked it enough to do the evil playthough.There is lot of content in the game and it shows you don't need multplayer to add value.

My rock solid 8.5 stands. I felt the first game was overrated and the second underrated. Whatever.It's worth a buy.

Infamous 2 overall was better than the first by alittle. Infamous had a better story. There are more glitches in Infamous 2 than than the first that much was clear. The new combat system, Kuo and Nix and UGC saved this game.

I rated it a 8.5 too lol. Of course its worth a buy its a really good sandbox superhero game.

I'd rate this bad boy an 8.0. For reference the first was a 9.5 for me.

+Cutscenes are miles better

+The graphics are better, damn near everything visually is.

+Enemies don't shoot you from buildings away anymore.

+ All the new powers are great, ice jump is amazing.

+Side missions are less repetitive.

Negative.

-Running out of electicity leaves you completely powerless, unlike the first where you always had a standard bolt.

-Powering up cities with the Tesla missles are worse than the sewers in the first game.

-Less platforming, no huge structures to climb like the prison or garbage tower.

-The beast wasn't fleshed out.

- Enemies are too accurate with RPGs

- Finally the large conduits in this game aren't fun to fight, especially the Ice Golem.

Just finished the evil story. Still disagree with the review. The ending itself was a little wierd but the emotion to it was solid. This game rocks.

[spoiler] Killing Zeke was the hardest thing I did in the game, and it just wrenched my heart seeing Cole in a coffin, hearing Zeke's sad voice talking about conduits and humans. This ending was really sad for me, it was fantastic, but also really hard :( I've never really grown so attached to a character, It's because I'm a fan of both Infamous games and really like both Zeke and Cole in Infamous 1 and 2. Seeing them work together made me happy, and then....the end... I actually sat through the credits hoping, hoping that there would be a scene where Cole comes back to life (in the good ending). But no :( [/spoiler]
