@Zero_epyon: Then I get to this post.... Dude there's been nothing but salt and tears against the X1X since it was announced. If you choose to ignore that, that's on you. Hell anytime someone posts that a game is native 4K on X1X all I see are cows bashing it, and hermits bringing up their PCs even though the convo had nothing to do with PC.

Have you not seen ron's threads? I mean look at this very thread. It has charts comparing Xbox One X to PC before anyone even gets a chance. And how about lems going bananas in threads that talk about games that aren't native 4K? Hell I've made a couple of those and was told by several lems that resolution threads needed to go away. Don't see them complaining about the 4 threads about resolution on X1X on the front page.

Hermits are merely responding to that nonsense. It's mostly reactive.

You missed my Ark Survival posts which is not 4K on X1X. X1X still beats PS4 Pro with more than 43 percent difference and the CPU is driving X1X's frame rates to 60 fps while PS4 Pro's version stuck at 30 fps.

I didn't miss anything. My point is that all you do is compare X1X to PC.

The battle for resolution. I am still waiting to experience someone thinking about the resolution of the game they are playing on another system. People need to remember that the vast majority of gamers generally don't care.

Can you cite the source of this chart?

Thanks. Survey was done with more than 4000 people. That seems like a small sample.

also, those factors aren't ranked by level of importance. And pedro was talking about resolution, not graphics quality.

Those are factors influencing, they are not ranked by importance

67 percent of respondents has valued "quality of the graphics" which is higher than other factors, hence different factors are ranked by importance.

no they're not. Just means that 67% included graphics as part of their buying decision. Obviously they were allowed to pick more than one, but we don't know how much graphics played in their decision.

Does not mean it was the most important factor in their buying decision. Just because it was included does not mean it was the most important thing

Perhaps for that 67% that included it was the lowest importance in their decision, while for the 65% that included price that was the most important to them.

PS4 has superior graphics (67 percent) and price (65 percent) over XBO, hence the results.

On PS4 vs XBO

Quality of the graphics (67 percent): PS4 win, X360 was competitive against PS3

Price (65 percent): PS4 win, X360 was competitive against PS3

Interesting Story/Premise (59 percent): PS4 win, Garbage story for halo 5 and even the devs acknowledge it!

Online Game-Play Capability (50 percent): about equal

Product is Continuation of a Favorite game series (48 percent): XBO win

No brainier on PS4's +60 million units results over XBO.

XBO lost the top 3 factors.

they're not selecting one factor over the other, just saying that it is one of the factors

and you didn't answer the question

@drlostrib: Oh god, he's stuck on that same old "factors which influence a game purchase" chart again. The same survey which includes people who primarily game on their phones. Yeah, totally relevant to SW.

Phones has thier own graphics factors i.e. note why iPhones has kickass mobile GPUs.

Qualcomm SoCs dominating over other ARM based SoCs...

@ronvalencia: Cool story. What's your favorite mobile game?

Or xbox game? Or any game? Do you actually play video games?

@ronvalencia: it would be an omission if the topic was x1x vs pro. It was not.

I have posted multiple PS4 Pro with 1440p level resolution vs X1X 4K resolution examples.

For example. ARK Survival has comparison between PS4 Pro's 30 fps vs X1X's 60 fps vs GTX 1070.

In this topic, my posts has PS4 Pro's 1440p vs X1X's native 4K and PC Hitman 4K benchmark.

Your claims on "My point is that all you do is compare X1X to PC." is BS.

"My point is that all you do is compare X1X to PC." is not even system wars argument since it's about ronvalencia.

The battle for resolution. I am still waiting to experience someone thinking about the resolution of the game they are playing on another system. People need to remember that the vast majority of gamers generally don't care.

Nice chart!

In the end, selecting either Windows PC or Xbox, Microsoft wins. Microsoft has Toyota/Lexus style market segmentation.

PlayStation has a family devices that covers Play Station Vita, Play Station 3 and Play Station 4 while this treatment wasn't applied for Microsoft's ecosystems i.e. double standards from the cow side.

@ronvalencia: How does Microsoft win actually? They only get a cut from the games sold on their own storefront, they get nothing out of games sold on steam, unless you mean windows licenses

Making sure Windows is still the preeminent PC OS? They didn't become a multi billion dollar corporation without it. I don't claim to know billions of people but not 1 PC gamer I know, doesn't use W10 at this point. They are very much PC in the mindshare of the general public

@howmakewood: You don't understand how Microsoft wins by having people buy/build Windows 10 PCs, purchase gaming content from their digital Microsoft Store, and play online via their online service of Xbox Live?..

@kuu2: Lol the goal post has already been moved.. Now games have to do "ultra across the board" and the optional performance modes need to have locked 60fps throughout the game..

Needless to say this is a far cry from the initial predictions of "most games will be checkerboard just like the Pro", "you'll only see native 4K unless they turn everything down to low settings", and "i wish they would just do 1080p/60fps instead"..

A couple of these "experts", who are completely hiding behind PCs now, are the ones who are really feeling the egg on their face.. It's gonna be a long wait for the PS5 it seems..

When folks start comparing the One X to PC you know its a good thing for console gamers.

@scatteh316: Actually the 60 fps mode is terribly wonky. The 4k 30 mode is the way to go on this one. It mostly sticks to the 30 and is quite smooth. Unfortunately the 60 is upto 60 fps mode so it's all over the place and gave me a headache.

I would leave that mode for a freesync monitor personally and not a television.
