We don't officially acknowledge it here, but all games on all platforms are timed exclusives in practice. Let's face it, one way or another, everything comes to PC eventually. Now, by bringing this to STEAM, MS has me interested in an XB series I'd never otherwise have cared about. Who knows, maybe I won't want to be left waiting one day. It's a smart long play, in my book.

Console owners will have to purchase Reach as an addon to MCC.

I truly feel ashamed to have xbox as my main game platform. Its gonna suck phasing out my xbox considering I went all digital....

@Pedro: ive always owned every system and a PC until xbox introduced play anywhere. my friends were pro MS at the beginning of the gen and refused to consider any other system. So I was forced to stick with xbox. with recent sub par exclusives and now the loss of halo to PC, they are finally starting to consider ditching xbox. Funny how its MS themselves that are chasing them away.

None of that story affects any gamers experience on the system nor would it cause shame. Its freaking device not test scores/nudes/ or any other genuine thing that one would be ashamed of.

Why do people invest so much in to notion of games or console's worth based on other people? If you like a console or game then good for you, why does it matter if someone else can play these games or don't like these games or don't like your platform of choice? Who cares?

Oh hell yes! Been waiting for Master Chief to hit PC and to top it off Steam? Will definitely be getting this. Hoping that it supports ultrawide! Props to Phil Spencer for not putting this on Epic.

It would have been very interesting (not positive) if it was released on the Epic store. Some PC gamers would have lost their minds.

Some of those folks are going to be very very disappointed for some of the games haven't aged well at all.

Hell yeah! I can actually get into the Halo series now. Every game on the planet should be on PC, relegating them to consoles just makes their quality suffer.

Finally we all can say this, xbox is dead. Rest in peace somebody I never really cared for.

Also xbox guys can start googling for comparisons, a pc or ps5 or nintendo new console for next gen. I think pc is really good if you want to continue your game library. Ps5 and nintendo got exclusive though

I wouldn't say I've been craving Halo to come to Windows, but it's certainly something I've been hoping for, and for quite some time. What number Halo are we on? Last one I played was....well, it was Halo 1 hahaha

Yeah, super surprised to see it on Steam. Good for them for being open about it. I might buy it on Windows Store (even though it is, hands down, one of the dumbest things I've ever used) just to support it, not that they need the support haha.

Any word on it being Game Pass? I currently have a sub but running out of reasons to keep it.

How on earth is an FPS "controller centric", and why wouldn't the transition benefit from going to the control scheme that, arguably, benefits most from keyboard and mouse?

I mean, don't get me wrong, if you prefer controller that's fine. You want to play Halo Reach on PC with a controller, go for it. I'm just saying that, objectively (and also subjectively if I am being honest) it's much better with M+KB
