They recently hired a former Bungie employee too right? I think he was a lead writer.

Seemed everybody latched on to a consensus that 343 leadership was mismanaging the IP (I didn't quite agree) but this kind of news should be a positive development for those that thought so.

Worse case is leadership is leaving because they're powerless to just make a great game and constantly in contention with corporate bureaucracy.

Bring in id Software and/or MachineGames to help finish the game.

I see this game coming in 2022 or they are just going to release a bad xbox game.

this has crackdown 3 all over it again. delay delay and by the time it comes out it looks dated.

Not much I can really say as we don’t know the reasons surrounding this. I just hope that the final game will be something that I enjoy and the best of luck on his future endeavours.

Man this doesn't look good for 343 reputation , but then again 343's reputation has been ruined since their first game. I hope things work out for the Halo Inf team.

So their only AAA exclusive game is in development hell as well. According to rumors, more layoffs are inbound. At least Phil Spencer is trying a hail mary to salvage the burning dumpster fire.

I don't know what's worst, this director leaving Halo: Infinite or the fact Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 is losing more key developers? At this point, Halo: Infinite is the least of my worries.

Nah, they can't afford to.........MS literally has nothing in terms of a good exlcusives, delaying it again would kill them.

I do love fighting games but for Granblue Fantasy: Versus, It is pretty shitty that the roster is on the small side. The single player content is not interesting enough to play. As a fighting game, it's ok, it's very simple, very straightforward but the net code and the way they designed their lobbies need work. Like when I go into a lobby it doesn't show you the connections so you could be a really bad connection and there's no way to know until you try it and the net code is standard delay which is the worst kind of net code.

It's an extremely good entry fighting game in my opinion. Very good art style, very diverse cast that appeals to many, very beautiful animations. Mechanically simplistic with very few characters having to follow rules to their gameplay. Unfortunately, Granblue Fantasy got dropped right before the Pandemic so it got covered up fast. That being said, I think it's pretty clear Cygames didn't expect Granblue Fantasy to perform so well. Just looking at the odd release date of the game says a lot. It was clearly finished (in terms of translation) and to me, it looks like they were expecting it to be far more successful in the East than here in the West. I have this game on PC, I give it a 7/10.

Well, this is the definition of a troubled production.

Doesn't mean the game will be bad, but I suspect it will take a while to sort out the chaos going on behind the scenes. Expect delays.

I didn't like the whole 10 year Halo idea to begin with. Just give us a sequel and be done with it. I don't want to play the same old game for 10 years. I'll be playing other shit in a few months after release.

@kuu2: this isn’t about a delay though. But even if it were, there are delays because devs need more time to polish and there are delays because the game is in development hell. And Halo Infinite appears to be in development hell.

For some reason I'm still hopeful infinite can be good but it seems to be only bad news coming out of 343.

Microsoft's first party has been weaksauce for about 10 years now. And I knew they wouldn't get their shit together this gen. 343 sucks. What else is new.
