waiting for benjaminbanklin to come in calling this crap and cardboard!
Well thanks, that was enough cringe for the day.
Now if you excuse me, I need to finishing up with God of War, such an amazing well made game :)
It only takes one weekend so see you back soon.
If it was that easy to do. I just got too many games I go do this and that.
Labo is glorified cardboard that is selling poorly worldwide. It is a waste of shelf space. $100+ to build a stupid fishing rod. I can buy a real life fishing rod for $20 and go catch real fish.
“The fun is in the build”....so 20 minutes at a cost of $100 doesn’t sound very appealing. Then you get to play a terrible mini game for 5 minutes and never touch it again.
Ugh. Nice Nintendo commercial. Jimmy Fallon is such a whore. The Fat Albert gang played trash a whole lot better.
It's still cardboard and still crap..
can't tell if those are tears or just blind hate :P
Or....maybe common sense ;)

Hahaha, so true. Good point
Nintendo once again tried to make easy money, bad mini games with the lowest of low production value can go and paper made in china to dress Switch.. for $80 ... per kit. I mean. LOL

LABO has got you PS4 owners really wound up hasn't it. Is it because its not something aimed at the hardcore gamers like you or do you just not really understand it?
Keep paying $80 per kit for really bad mini games and some paper to dress your switch with and tell to yourself how great of a purchase that was, all i care. My opinion wont change. Nintendo making easy money out of LABO, there are no excuses to that.
Yep. I think LABO is a very creative thing indeed and there are some incredibly cool things that I’ve seen done with it. As the saying goes though, haters are going to hate.

Where did I say I bought it. It's not something for me to be honest. I just don't get angry about things that are not aimed at me.
Who is angry ?!! We laughing about it ! 4 real fishing rods for you for $80.
@AzatiS: You don’t sound like your laughing you sound bitter.
Also it seems to be only PS fans that have a problem with LABO. Why is that?

I dont sound ? Can you hear me there ?!! Tell me a single valid reason why to be bitter and we can talk, lol.
Everyone has problems with LABO ! Everyone says mini games are boredom, everyone says they wont touch this again once they make few creations, everyone say its costly. Even sheep themselves laughing with that. I know plenty. Specific sheep are not and its weird.
keep paying for that ! Its your money, all i can do is congratulate Nintendo for another money grab.
Kids should be learning to make music for real. Seriously, you can find a guitar for the cost of a lot of this labo stuff. Learn to play, learn to truly create something instead of following a template.

Takes effort and a lot of failing. I agree with you. But it's a tall order.
I don't understand, it's good because it's being promoted on a TV show?
I was expecting the thread to be about something cool and unique some people made. But all I see are celebrities and the same embarrassing fishing rod stuff.
Labo probably would have taken off better if Nintendo waited for the Switch to be a mass market price and have a wider installed base. Maybe if they launched it in Japan first and them let the idea "catch on" in the West... Any number of things. Then again, I don't have tattoos to cover up my shitty emo phase tatoos. I don't have a mountain man beard that I use $100 conditioner on. I wasn't into it before it was cool. I do not like avocado toast.

I think he's playing an instrument with the fishing rod. Not sure.
@alan_cartridge:
1. You legally can’t throw your axe and kill people like you can in God Of War.
2. A real life axe can’t come flying back to your hand after you throw it. In God Of War, it can.
Magic Axe>Real life Axe.
Real life Fishing Rod>Fake Cardboard Fishing Rod.
Huge difference bro. Nice try though.

Only PS fans? Nintendo fans in the UK didn't exactly lap this shit up. Your brain has to be some kind of level of broken if you think you should be grateful for paying for $80 worth of cardboard.

fair enough on the failing front.
Just feel like we should be teaching kids more than we do while they are young. Toys should be educational, inspirational, an outlet for creativity.
@BenjaminBanklin: shouldn’t you be busy scouring the Internet for negative sound stories about the xbox ?

Exactly. Because mini games are utter crap, boredom after 5 minutes or something with really low production values. So where this $80 per kit comes from ? For creating a fishing rod and piano with low quality paper or something ? And once you made them , then what ? Next kit, another $80 ?
Thats why i congratulate Nintendo, because they can come up with such ways to make millions and get away with this. Good for them.
Its stealing, plain and simple. The faster sheep understand this the better.

Well... I have a lot of unpopular opinions on education ^_^
I would add first aid and relativity of our beliefs (how (religious, philosophical, anecdotal) beliefs differ from person to person and how we tend to disagree about things, but still have to live together. Maybe that's humanism?), and spending some time on how to learn (most schools don't even teach you how to learn properly). I would remove religious schooling as it is something more fit as an extra course to regular schooling but it's insane to teach children one possible philosophy or religion as if it is science. Plus like you say a more freeform exploration of talents and interests. Right now we are very busy punishing mistakes, even though we all need to make mistakes to get better. We should encourage any activity in school subjects, which includes the process of making mistakes and then learning from that.
Schools may need scores for a national agreed upon indication of a kid's level of comprehension and mastery, but I think the students should not be focused on them. I don't see a reason to score physical education. Our standardized tests don't allow for much creativity either. History is taught for all the wrong reasons (not to prevent bad things from happening again or to learn what important things we ourselves have learned, but mainly as some sort of cultural enrichment which I controversially consider to be more of a hobby/propaganda thing and not something that has a place in education). In my country teens have to make the most important study decisions/get to deal with most new things during the period that their brains are rewiring (so they are learning very important basics of say chemistry, physics, goniometrics, economy, when they're performing the worst in their healthy life and when they have problems with keeping an overview). I don't think that works well. And statistically speaking we have wrecked education for boys. Probably because of introducing group assignments and planning at an earlier age. This has to do with one of the very few actual small differences between male and female brain composition. I think it's better to strive for equal opportunity in that sense.
I am looking at some countries that use (for us) very controversial methods that always seem to work better than our methods. Like having little to no homework seems to work much better than a lot of homework. There are colleges where teens get 15 minutes homework max per day. They do have slightly longer days at school, but not so much that it could compensate. Yet somehow it is working very well.
